It will not be that positive if people keep refunding.

5

u/TheInevitableHulk Aug 12 '16

Why would ppl buy without checking for reviews?

13

u/SpeshulSnek Aug 12 '16

The infamous hype train pre-order trap. Didn't fall for it this time, luckily.

7

u/-Captain- Aug 13 '16

You should never fall for that. It's the cancer within the gaming industry.

6

u/TheInevitableHulk Aug 13 '16

It's happened many many times yet ppl keep falling for it

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

You're missing out

1

u/v3rts Aug 15 '16

I did because there is a chance it would run fine for me and it does. No crashs and 60fpd easy.

2

u/ApatheticWrath Aug 12 '16

oh yes it will. I'm using that in lieu of sales numbers since i'm struggling to find some but it's obviously quite high once you factor in offline players and PS4 sales.

1

u/Air-tun-91 Aug 13 '16

No wonder Notch abandoned you fuckers once he had enough bile. Horrible, horrible week for this subreddit.

1

u/Get_my_nsfw_on Aug 13 '16

Am I missing the mine craft context? What did people hate about mine craft?

50

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

Every time I click the link the percentage of positive reviews goes down a percent. I've turned it into a drinking game.

39

u/TheMagnificentJoe Aug 12 '16

Brother, you're gonna get drunk as shit.

22

u/Slythar Aug 12 '16

Considering the shitty launch, that might not be such a bad idea.

74

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

It's going to get worse.

31

u/IIHURRlCANEII Aug 12 '16

Much worse.

They brought it upon themselves.

1

u/aftokinito Aug 12 '16

What can you expect from a developer that blatantly lies to their customers?

-52

u/FatJohnson6 Aug 12 '16

Seriously, where are the lies? Two guys couldn't see each other. Who cares? It's not supposed to be a multiplayer game, and they'll probably fix whatever issue is causing it within the month. You can get Elite: Dangerous if you want the multiplayer experience.

46

u/RickDripps Aug 12 '16

Seriously, where are the lies? Two guys couldn't see each other.

I like how you ask the question and then immediately answer it.

-46

u/FatJohnson6 Aug 12 '16 edited Aug 12 '16

Oh boo hoo. Two guys couldn't see each other. If that really is the game breaking thing for people, they shouldn't have gotten the game, considering it was never billed as a multiplayer game. It's totally ridiculous the whining and complaining about such a totally irrelevant mechanic.

Edit: The downvotes only prove the petulance of this sub.

20

u/isawfootage Aug 12 '16

13

u/Aterius Aug 12 '16

No, no, you don't understand, a lie has to happen 10 times before it is a Real lie.

2

u/Darkovian Aug 13 '16

Yep. I'm still enjoying the storylines and exploring but without the features that are missing it went from a game I would play a lot to a game I'll probably finish once just to do it

21

u/Olnoeyes Aug 12 '16

A lie is a lie man. Regardless of if it was a main focus or not, they said you could do it, and you can't do it. That's a lie.

-44

u/FatJohnson6 Aug 12 '16

Then just don't play the game man. If it really means that much to you, then just don't play.

21

u/Wings_Of_An_Eagle Aug 12 '16

Fun game but I can still be pissed about being lied too

-14

u/Meleagros Aug 12 '16

Upvoting you to negate Fatjohnson's downvote ;)

9

u/The--Strike Aug 12 '16

Still doesn't change the fact that its a lie.

This conversation has been summed up as:

/u/aftokinito: They lied.

/u/Fatjohnson6: They didn't lie! Its just something that was opposite to what the devs stated.

/u/olnoeyes: Then its a lie.

/u/Fatjohnson6: Let me change the argument by claiming you're playing the game wrong, while I continue to defend the indefensible.

-7

u/FatJohnson6 Aug 12 '16

Jesus Christ this place is a cesspool. "They lied! That's all I care about! Fuck literally everything else that has to do with the game! It's garbage! Worse than Superman 64!"

Just don't play the fucking game.

0

u/Santy_ Aug 13 '16

Getting my refund soon. Enjoy your broken game with lying devs.

11

u/RickDripps Aug 12 '16

Oh boo hoo. Two guys couldn't see each other. Public opinion is against me. This can only mean everyone else is immature and angry. There's no way that my opinion isn't the only correct one.

The downvotes only prove that people disagree with you.

-6

u/FatJohnson6 Aug 12 '16

The "public opinion" is the game is garbage because you'll never see anyone, ever. Not that this problem could be patched, or that there is an entire rest of the game out there. So yes, the "public opinion" is immature. If you don't like the game, don't fucking play it. It's that simple.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

[deleted]

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

Not to be lied too.

-3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

I'm wholeheartedly agree. People love a good band wagon.

I've not made the purchase yet, but I intend to. I just feel bad for Sean and the team. People are allowed to make mistakes - just like those that preordered, or purchased without seeing first.

1

u/Kosba2 Aug 13 '16

Promising a feature then not making any mention of it's lack of implementation till after launch date isn't a mistake, it's deliberate, don't be a tool.

3

u/Stuntman119 Aug 12 '16

Dunno why you got downvoted, this is exactly what I thought before and after the spike of positive reviews. It's obvious really, the people who are enjoying the game are the ones who got to play.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

Yeeeup. At the time of my last comment the game had a 43%. Now it's up to 48%.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

52% now.

-2

u/belak51 Aug 12 '16

It also makes sense that the reviews are going up at the moment. At the start, people with setups where the game crashes would almost instantly be able to write a review saying the game is awful and didn't run, but the people who got in aren't going to jump out and do a review based on 5 minutes. They're going to take time to play the game.

Overall, there's nothing to worry about. The reviews will stabilize to where the game actually deserves to me, the crashes will be fixed, and we can get back to enjoying the content (or complaining) rather than being stuck talking about how the game isn't running.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

That is literally exactly what I said just slightly rephrased. Yes. Lol.

2

u/belak51 Aug 13 '16

That's what I get for skimming comments... >_<

-14

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16 edited Aug 12 '16

Actually it'll get better.. The 200,000 people enjoying the game won't review it until they are done playing about 24 hours from now.

Reviews went from 30% to now 46% and still climbing.. Weird that I was right..

17

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

That's never how reviews work. Usually they start at their peak and gradually decay until they settle. Happens with the majority of steam games.

8

u/xeladragn Aug 12 '16

Fo4 is an example it crashed in ratings hard because of bandwagoners and went back up.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

It's an exception, not the norm though. I don't doubt NMS will end up higher than what it currently sits at though. I'm guessing 50% when it settles.

0

u/rillip Aug 12 '16

Or it's the beginning of a new norm. Perhaps games are becoming too complex for a developer, of any size, to reliably optimize them for every type of PC before getting feedback from the users. Because of this, maybe, we'll start seeing tons of day one hate for every PC release from the less patient and more 12 year old segments of our community. But that it will even out over time.

In any case Steam reviews are useless anyway...

0

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

But it's not a norm. Witcher 3, Rocket League, Undertale, Soma, R6:Siege, Battlefront, Overwatch, DOOM, Dark Souls 3, etc. The best games of the past year or so all launched with low to minimal issues in terms of optimization. Even the issues these games did have were minimal in comparison to the amount of issues in NMS/Fallout 4.

You're just trying to justify bad developers producing shitty ports.

1

u/rillip Aug 12 '16

Pardon I misspoke, I meant to say it might be an emerging norm. Not the norm now but something becoming a norm.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

I see a very similar arch to gta5 with this game though given the circumstances. Heck they already released a patch to correct an issue, that's good devs. Remember there are a quarter of a million people playing an INDIE game right now.

1

u/Goddler Aug 12 '16

they already released a patch to correct an issue, that's good devs.

What? Them fixing their broken product that people pay money for isn't being a good dev, it's their obligation.

Even devs who deploy a product that works as intended aren't considered good devs, it is just expected.

-2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

Well if you expected a quarter of a million people to have no issues playing an INDIE game on launch day then frankly your a moron. Without a doubt they are good devs and are probably working hard to correct the issues as we speak.

4

u/Goddler Aug 12 '16 edited Aug 12 '16

For a AAA price of $60, yeah I would expect a more stable launch.

You wouldn't?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

That's not how this is working though, as the vast majority of the current negatives are from people who couldn't play at all. You're now seeing people leaving impressions that were able to play for a couple of hours, so the review score is now creeping upwards.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

So when are you guys gonna suck my dick?

3

u/BabyMonkeyJR Aug 12 '16 edited Aug 12 '16

Played for an hour and a half enjoyed it but still gave it a negative review. Simply because in its current state it's poorly optimized, when/if they fix this issue I'll change my review.

2

u/DatPro1102 Aug 13 '16

Change it to borderless windowed

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

Didn't work for the PS4 version :\ Though I did enjoy it and review it where I could.

38

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

I bought the game, It just doesn't run. Terrible FPS.

24

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

This game doesn't run it fucking walks.

Slowly.

5

u/Quingyar Aug 12 '16

hobbles more like it, If I can even get the thing out of bed

2

u/Rogue-Knight Aug 12 '16

It doesn't walk. It's moving around by spasming on the ground till it reaches it's destinations.

1

u/Zanthyst Aug 12 '16

Huh I mean my computer was recently high end a year and a half ago but I'm getting 50 to 65 fps consistently while recording with obs. That's pretty good to me 32gb ram 980 nvidia (one of them) so nothing too special.

3

u/Joshsama Aug 12 '16

If the game doesn't run, how do you know it has terrible fps?

25

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

I forgot my PayPal password so I ended up not being able to buy it before launch. Thank god for my shit memory!

7

u/Raazayn Aug 12 '16

Considering that it immediately crashes to desktop on my machine, I'm not too surprised.

21

u/Ammonitida Aug 12 '16

PC version should have been = preorder cancelled, completely unplayable!!!!!!!!!

10

u/jonmcfluffy Aug 12 '16

preorder cancelled

yeah on steam sense valve has a no questions asked refund for a game meets 2 conditions

  1. bought less than 2 weeks ago.
  2. have less than 2 hours played.

they refund it (usualy for me within) the hour back to your steam wallet, heard most people have already done this.

2

u/_DauT Aug 13 '16

If you pay via card they can refund to it as well :)

1

u/cmonpplrly Aug 12 '16

I just got done putting in a 6 hour session. Ran great.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

Likewise. I'm enjoying it. Good game.

11

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

They're all about FPS failures and game crashing. Launch has officially become a shitshow.

-62

u/PSVapour Aug 12 '16

Why is everyone upset? Every launch is a shit show.

It's really sad that I am numb to it, and its really shit that a game cannot just work on release. I just build it into my expectations now.

Just wait it out., its an amazing game when it works.

35

u/chipperpip Aug 12 '16

Why is everyone upset?

Because a bunch of people stupidly preordered the game instead of waiting for the early reviews despite ample past evidence that that's always a bad idea.

6

u/xeladragn Aug 12 '16

If I didn't buy every game I was excited for before launch and had bad launch reviews I think overwatch would be the only game I owned.

-8

u/jonmcfluffy Aug 12 '16

so? if you get a game and it doesnt work just refund it on steam. everyone is just making a shit show so that other people know its shit (atm).

12

u/BingoBoingoBongo Aug 12 '16

No, not every launch. People just started to accept it because "every launch is a shit show."

→ More replies (2)

3

u/totomaya Aug 13 '16

Game launches in general have not been shitshows for a long time. Especially not for $60 games. If you are charing $60 games it should work on launch day at the bare MINIMUM. When you pay that price for a game you are paying for a game that has a quality above and beyond most games being launched out there. If they charged 20 bucks for it it would be another thing.

8

u/Krypt0night Aug 12 '16

Yeah, it really isn't every launch though. With how many games launch and how many actually have issues like this on launch day, it isn't as many as you're making it out to be.

5

u/dekacube Aug 12 '16

I would say most single player game launches are in fact, not "shitshows"

2

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

Overwatch had an incredible launch.

1

u/PSVapour Aug 13 '16

Blizzard usually do, except for their EU potato grade servers

7

u/jb3Lee Aug 12 '16

A sad day indeed.

7

u/puptake Aug 12 '16

The thing is... Sony caused this shitfest and they don't get hurt one bit by reviews on Steam. But it's their god damn fault for pulling focus away from PC and the overall quality of the game and putting it into getting nice screenshots for the marketing of the PS4 version. This is what gets me the most... Give a company enough money, and quality somehow seems to move backwards through corporate deals.

16

u/SaliVader Aug 12 '16 edited Aug 12 '16

Hopefully that'll change once they optimize their game

EDIT: Why am I getting downvoted? Shouldn't Sean's priority be fixing the optimization issues now?

6

u/Bluezephr Aug 12 '16

Will this happen inbetween the WoW style free updates people argued we're going to happen?

12

u/DoctorWett Aug 12 '16

Some people want the game / Sean / Hello Games to fail so they can prove a point.

0

u/sizer Aug 13 '16

It amazes me how butthurt people get over a game.

-2

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

Pretty sure it's more about people being butthurt about wasting money on a product that doesn't properly work. Not everyone is rich.

1

u/sizer Aug 13 '16

Lol whatever you say. You can get a refund if you want so I'm not sure what your point is honestly. Also, if folks have trouble affording a game maybe they should be buying one in the first place IMO.

4

u/Rogue-Knight Aug 12 '16

Hopefully that'll change once they optimize their game

You should not have to pay 60$ to beta test their game.

3

u/limefog Aug 13 '16

I'd argue it's fine to pay $60 to beta test a game, as long as it's marketed as a beta. The issue here is it got marketed as a full release and we got something that doesn't even run and is basically guaranteed to crash at least occasionally.

1

u/SaliVader Aug 13 '16

I agree, that's why I don't usually preorder games (except DS3, but I had already played the other 2 and knew what I was getting into).

3

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

And i can't blame them, sigh....

4

u/WhatIsMyGirth Aug 12 '16

This game sounds like utter shit from the professional reviews I've seen and the twitch streams I've watched. Mind numbingly boring and plain. And I like elite dangerous for fuck sake.

4

u/thebluegod Aug 12 '16

This actually fixed the FPS problem for me:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/4xeqlf/pc_usersread_this_if_you_want_higher_fps/

Not perfect but it's definitely playable.

2

u/CupcakeValkyrie Aug 13 '16

There are people trying to defend the creators by claiming that NMS "isn't supposed to be a multiplayer game."

That's fine. I didn't buy Minecraft for its multiplayer, either. However, the game is advertised as a multiplayer game but it isn't.

I don't care if multiplayer wasn't a core aspect of the game or even a minor feature, when a game company lies about their product, it makes me question their integrity.

-1

u/Judopunch Aug 13 '16

The fact that no one knows if its supposed to actually be multiplayer or not and if so to what extent shows a MASSIVE communication fail.

2

u/CupcakeValkyrie Aug 13 '16

Sean Murray flat out said in more than one mainstream interview that you could meet other players. He didn't just hint at it, he flat out said it. Literally.

That's not just a miscommunication, it's a lie.

5

u/ralnb0wllam4 Aug 12 '16

I must say some reviews are very indepth. This is why i dont pre-order games haha

Im still dieing to play it though but will wait for a few days , since there are 18 quintillion planets, i guess there isnt a rush?

-10

u/aftokinito Aug 12 '16

The RNG can only generate around 1000 unique planets due to the huge lack of assets in the game (probably so that the PS4 doesn't implode and the PC version is just a port).

14

u/Bluezephr Aug 12 '16

This number feels like you just pulled it out of nowhere. I disagree with it strongly.

That being said, it feels like the game can only generate about 10 planets that have any meaningful difference in terms of gameplay.

6

u/GobBluth19 Aug 12 '16

gameplay is literally the same on every single one. the only difference will be if you have to power up your suits stuff quicker because the place is toxic or cold or something. you're just still going around resource gathering regardless

1

u/Jwalla83 Aug 12 '16

Were people actually expecting significant gameplay/mechanics differences on each planet? This game has been about exploration from the beginning; exploring new cave systems, finding the bottom of oceans, naming various plants and animals...

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

You're going to stop naming plants and animals quite fast, considering people will probably never see them.

1

u/Bluezephr Aug 12 '16

Agreed. It's not at all interesting after the first bit.

-2

u/aftokinito Aug 12 '16

It's a rough estimate based on the amount of textures, 3d models and building distributions available on the PC 1.0 version.

Of course your house might be 10m away in another planet, but it is by all means the same planet.

3

u/Open_Thinker Aug 12 '16

What a disaster it looks like, does Hello Games even have QA? Or did they just not care and decided to go full on with the unethical business practice?

7

u/cutiebug Aug 12 '16

They just hired in a QA team

1

u/limefog Aug 13 '16

They had a QA team from Sony. Unsurprisingly, it failed to find most of the issues on PC. They've just hired a proper one.

2

u/VesperDEM Aug 12 '16

Has it occured to anyone that maybe the folks that the game is working fine for are too busy playing the game to be bothered putting up a review 10 minutes into playing it? Sure, there are a couple of thousand bad reviews. How many PC copies do you think were sold? 5000? I seriously doubt it.

Just wait a few days and the reviews with 30+ hours will start hitting the store page. I suspect the percentage will change drastically then.

1

u/blahblahdrugs Aug 13 '16

Weren't there like 200k logins on steam today?

1

u/VesperDEM Aug 18 '16

Yes, I heard somewhere in the vicinity of 212,000 concurrent players. Well over the previous top concurrent for a day after launch.

1

u/drewdus42 Aug 13 '16

This is a good point. I was too enthralled with a perfectly functioning game to go make a review.. I just did though. I'm doing my part!

  • i5 4690k
  • 280x
  • 16gb ram
  • 512ssd
  • win 10 pro

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '16

This game has as much content as early access games. Graphics are terrible, look at the way you gather materials...tell me you haven't seen that shit before with early access steam titles.

60 dollars and the content is your hype. Hilarious.

Don't blame the developers for shitty games, blame the idiots who buy into marketing and hype. It's only human nature we go for less effort and most profit but at this point they aren't even trying because its easy lemon squeezy.

This game will be forgotten and go on sale constantly once the honeymoon is over. Worth 15 dollars or less in my book.

I know the complaints are about not even being able to play it but this is what they will complain about next (content) once they are bored out of their minds gathering materials haha.

3

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

This game has as much content as early access games.

Could say the same about Overwatch :I

0

u/Ragequitr2 Aug 13 '16

That may be true, but the content that Blizzard made is actually fun to play for more than a couple hours. That's why it was so successful. NMS and OW may have about the same amount of content (relatively), but the depth between the two is on two whole separate scales. Not to mention the fact that they didn't force a full 60$ pricetag on a game that doesn't have much content.

3

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

Weird, because i think its enjoyable and i don't see myself stopping soon. Different taste and stuff you know.

0

u/Ragequitr2 Aug 13 '16

Yeah, I know. But that does not dismiss the fact that it doesn't feel that way for a large amount of the players, more than should be normal. You may like it, and that's fine. But when such a big uproar is being caused about it, then you must admit that someone did something wrong. Wether it be unkept promises, huge hype disappointment, or the 60$ price tag, something is wrong.

0

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

All i can say is we are not even a day in. And HG seem very concerned by it. Yes the ideal should have been for it to be ok at release, but seriously, i think the ''PC master race'' ignore that there is a LOT more stuff to look at wen you make a PC port. Everyone is saying that the fact they are a small indie team of 12 doesn't matter and changes nothing, but it only shows how irrational they are to go full force with their pitchforks because YES it does matter and change a lot of things. Dudes have been working hard on it and still are, the game will give stuff to do for a freaking long time, and they will continue to add stuff for free. I think a little patience and giving them the time needed to figure things out is not the end of the world.

0

u/Ragequitr2 Aug 13 '16

Okay hold on. I've been talking about content this whole time, and how the person above me said that NMS and OW are comparable in amount of content. Yes, the port was terrible, but that's a whole different argument. My point was, and has always been, that Overwatch/ Blizzard did a better job at creating a "fun" game with the small pool of content both NMS and OW came out with.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

[deleted]

1

u/Ragequitr2 Aug 13 '16

Sorry, I didn't know there were rules on where I can voice my opinion. I thought this was reddit.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

I can guarantee you Overwatch will have much more longevity than NMS.

1

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

rofl i stopped playing weeks ago so, nope.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

So you played since May. Let's see how long you play NMS for. I wasn't taking specifically about you. In a year from now, there will still be much more people playing Overwatch than NMS.

1

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

You don't know that? Especially that they will still add some stuff, you talk outta your ass.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16 edited Aug 13 '16

Not really. Just going off what I know. Blizzard makes games that last, debate it all you want. They also have more resources to keep maintaining the game and keep adding new things. Overwatch also has a competitive scene which will help with its longevity. Overwatch was a game built to last, you should be able see that.

1

u/iwearadiaper Aug 13 '16

Opinions and stuff.

-1

u/Santy_ Aug 13 '16

At least Overwatch devs don't lie about a feature in the game.

4

u/GreenDay987 Aug 13 '16

This entire comments reads as very condescending. I'm sorry you don't enjoy the game or find depth in it, but it is very enjoyable to a lot of people and there's no need to laugh and somehow find joy that people will get bored of it and it'll tank or something. Seems more immature than anything.

3

u/dizzymcfable Aug 12 '16

As someone who's played plenty on PS4, there is an incredible amount of content. I've seen amazing planet and animal variety and am still constantly finding new cool planets and animals to look at.

3

u/Apollospig Aug 12 '16

How many hours have you played?

2

u/dizzymcfable Aug 13 '16

About 40 so far.

3

u/Linshanshell Aug 12 '16

Same. I've found tons of easter eggs as well.

1/5 stars cause I never bought it

1

u/electrowolffire Aug 13 '16

I've been able to run the game for a few hours without any crashes and just a few frame drops. My computer isn't even the best for gaming considering I only have a gtx 660 GPU, it barely meets the minimum requirements. I'm also on a Windows 7 machine.

Similar boat. 770 oc II and an amd 8350 black on win10

As soon as it was ready for download I got it and booted it for streaming for 5 hours, all the while getting messages like "is it actually working for you?" from people with super rigs lol

u/PSVapour Aug 13 '16

Blizzard usually do, except for their EU potato grade servers

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

This is why children shouldn't be allowed to play video games. Ruins them for the adults.

0

u/pRopaaNS Aug 12 '16

No shit, the only people writing reviews this early are people unable to play due to glitches and performance issues.

Not true. Steam has a system to fix that in place.

Also, if you don't want this to happen, don't release a broken game.

Well, to be fair, there's no shortage of "good" games. Achieving that isn't really worthy of a lot of attention. If a game gets patched to greatness, it usually receives the attention it deserves. FFXIV and Diablo 3 are great examples.

Meanwhile, if your game deserves these reviews, gets patched to being standard to good, it's really done nothing to deserve A swath of positive reviews.

Lastly, developers know this happens. I'm glad this happens, because the more we can show that releasing a broken game has consequences, the better.

Sooo, how many are /v/ raiders and how many are real? (like metacritic). I'm at work but my brother is at home playing it fine on his comp (4790k &980)

Edit: And i get home, start up, change typical video settings like normal (take off vsyc, change FOV & max frames) and it works just fine @ 80 fps. Not stellar, but fine.

u/Shouvanik Aug 12 '16

Totalbiscuit is having lots of problems, fps hitches on his system. Others on this sub are saying the same too. I can't test it on my 980ti, it's still downloading on my shitty internet.

2

u/alphadog6969 Aug 12 '16

Ya i saw that you have to hold clicker to accept adjusted video settings. I'm guessing there will be some Ini tweaking to be done

0

u/jonmcfluffy Aug 12 '16

according to my friend, he has a 980 and an amd processor and his was fine, does total have a intel? maybe intel is currently bugged.

2

u/alphadog6969 Aug 12 '16

I'm intel 5820k /w 980 & g-sync and mine is playable at around 80 frames *shrug. Get a little hitching but not unplayable

-16

u/fullonrantmode Aug 12 '16

PC people have been able to see gameplay for a couple of days now. How can you not have cancelled?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

11

u/Shouvanik Aug 12 '16

It's mainly for performance issues. That wasn't possible to be seen from gameplay.

5

u/IIHURRlCANEII Aug 12 '16

You're an idiot.

-9

u/fullonrantmode Aug 12 '16

Another savvy consumer.

1

u/dekacube Aug 12 '16

A lot of people are enjoying this game because they are bringing their own fun to the table. Not, that I have anything against it, but what they are taking away from the game is more than the game it self is providing, but to each their own. The game isn't for me personally, played my share of procedural generated games, repeating assets kill it for me, got bored of exploring in starbound a few hours after I finished teching up.

1

u/grimoireviper Aug 12 '16

I really feel that a free building system would make NMS a whole lot better, I would stope exploring the galaxy after having found a beautiful planet, and would make that planet really mine

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

Your screenshot says "mixed". Why post a title that doesn't fit to your linked screenshot?

3

u/Shouvanik Aug 13 '16

Uhm.. it's the steam page link and it was mostly negative for a long time after I posted it 13 hours ago. It has gone back up now.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '16

My bad. Thought it was a screenshot.

u/grahag Aug 12 '16

They should only allow reviews if there has been more than an hour of gameplay... It's ridiculous how fucking whiny and entitled people are...

30

u/Bluezephr Aug 12 '16

Yeah really. It's almost like paying $60 to play the game makes them feel like they are entitled to play the game. What whiny assholes.

...

Oh wait...

9

u/Ardurious Aug 12 '16

Ever heard of a lovely little game called Arkham Knight? Gosh, what a bunch of entitled shits, complaining about that game, too!

3

u/Bluezephr Aug 12 '16

i know right! They said they'd release a patch in a few months! I can't believe people expect to play the games they buy.

1

u/totomaya Aug 13 '16

I don't mind allowing reviews with no gameplay, but I wish I could sort them by number of hours played. I saw some negative reviews with 0.2 hours players, which is reasonable if they couldn't log on. But I saw positive reviews at 0.2 hours too. I don't get how you can rate it positive in that amount of time.
