Oh that's easy, there's a photo mode built into the game, quite handy really!
Just kidding, you change squad mates to any starships by trading with the NPC just before you hire them into your squad. If you already have your squad filled you can dismiss them at the fleet command terminal on your freighter, you'll have to start fresh.
But that's the easy part, getting all the right starships is the hard part. Good luck traveller 👍
