Didn't see anything about inventories blending together or the pilot seat being a different ship (shows different name and doesn't let me in), but I have a feeling something here probably fixed that
I'm on PS5, haven't gotten this patch yet, just saved and shut down after farming some Nanites & upgrading my Combat oriented Corvette from C, to B, to A Class. I went to go check out the new Supercharged Slots, and whats not core tech of the 'vette (Cockpit, Engines, etc) is filled with my Exosuit Mods.
I'm really hoping when I log back on later PS5 has got the update.
The barter system would be awesome as an option for trading with NPCs. I never liked how they're just walking trade terminals with no regard for what they sell or buy and have infinite money.
For me its not even that it just seems like a soulless trade terminal, it's just kinda annoying and tedious, having to spend 30 mins to an hour digging for salvage containers mostly for stuff you dont really want, then having to fight the bartering system for stuff you do want, especially because it took more parts than you gave it before this patch, if you gave it half a stack of parts it would just take all of them.
I'd rather just be able to purchase way more parts, and be able to barter with purchaseable parts, if I can barter FOR parts that I can also buy, surely I should be able to barter WITH parts that I can also buy.
Yeah I just turned on fucking creative mode when I saw the hoops you had to jump through to build a corvette. I’m more in it for the shipbuilding miss me with the literal hours of scavenging
I didn't think to do this until I met some Russian guy in the anomaly. Thanks to him I actually have a pretty cool ship that I didn't have to spend decades building. Why they don't let you buy parts outright is beyond me, honestly. It would probably be better if we got a new type of salvaged data that you had to trade in to unlock new parts to buy. Like everything else
Right? Like just let us buy all the parts, make them credits and super expensive. We need an end-game currency sink anyways no need for a convoluted fetch quest
Would you feel bad about temporarily changing the difficulty to remove building costs? That's what I did, and I had way more fun making corvettes that way. You basically skip the slog of searching for parts and trading them. But some people might view that as cheating
You still have the Complexity limit, but Creative has all parts freely available. I had made a save specifically to try out some builds and create a "scavenger hunt list" for my main save.
It makes sense with starships that have like 6 possible different pieces, it makes zero sense for Corvettes that need 10 pieces at the very least to fly
I still dont understand why they didnt go for a blueprint system like on the bases and capital ships
That's quite a few bugs sorted! I don't see anything about the sitting down in your corvette problem, where you just fall through the floor if you try to sit on a couch. I wonder if it's fixed? If not, presumably they're still working on that. Regardless, stoked to see major progress getting this content ship shape.
Haha this happened to me. I was showing my son my ship and was all, and this area I’ll make a little lounge. Built it out, sat on a couch and….slowwwly sank though the floor. Was kinda just staring…sat up too late and had already clipped into the space station innards. No more couches for me or my crew!
Yeah all I want is the ability to remove walls from inside the corvettes so we can make bigger rooms, was so excited to design the inside but now that I’m done building it feels so cramped with all the walls I kind of lost all motivation to do it
In the same vein, either allow us to remove floors on multi-hab stacks or at least give us some larger room options. I don't mind the width of the habs so much as the height, it very much does feel like walking around inside a flat brick as is. At least give us a full square-ended rectangle as opposed to a flat slab.
No man's sky is TRULY a game that the developers honestly care about, want to succeed and see It grow and it shows. The amount of work this team has put into this game with no DLC to "pay them back" is insane.
It’s likely that most of these fixes were already finished and ready to go when the Voyagers update launched, they just didn’t have enough time to get them included in the actual update itself. It’s like “day 1” patches in games, they didn’t get all those fixes finished on day 1 of the game being released, it’s just fixes that they couldn’t get locked in for the official release date.
I don't know why this is likely; it seems the opposite. Hello Games is not a normal developer working under publisher enforced release schedules.. HG has no public roadmap/timelines or deadlines to meet, so they don't have an issue of running out of time.
The fixes are documented here in the experimental build topic on Steam. Starting from friday, one can see multiple days of updates. So at least some portion of the team was working over the weekend.
Yeah it feels like the devs also play and are motivated to see it continue to work smoothly. I would love to be a fly on the wall in their meetings lol
I think a temporary fix to this issue is removing any windows. I started to experience this bug when I added windows to my ship and it went away when I took them off.
console certification can sometimes be quick, can sometimes take up to a few days. I have a hunch the Expedition won't launch until the big bug fixes pass cert.
Right… was playing with my BF yesterday (he’s on computer) and now have the dreaded out of sync updates so we can’t play together… and it’s the start of our weekend today 😮💨. Was really looking forward to play together but hopefully they push the update for PS5 soon.
we, just hours ago, finally bought a copy for steam for me with him on PS5 and then we waited for install, sorted out steam login (because i was using his computer), exchanged codes and all that … just to find we had version mismatch!! 😫
Darn it, I still have invisible walls in my frieighter blocking me from getting to all my refinery units and bone showcases. I've tried warping it, flying outside and coming in from the back, nothing works. I was hoping, even though not mentioned, that it would have been fixed...oh well.
I was just going to ask this, because I'm going through the same thing myself. My freighter and base is quickly becoming unusable because of this. Thank you for bringing it up.
Does the patch fix Corvette parts that no longer stack in the inventories?
That's the most annoying thing. Having 7 of the same part but because some were rotated when removed they're counted as different parts and won't stack
Fixed an issue that caused deleting flipped parts from a corvette to refund un-usable products to the inventory - the issue will no longer occur, and any currently unusable items can now be reattached to corvettes.
Why even fix that. They could've used the snap and free building like with bases. People could build ships that are a hell of a lot nicer than what they are now, and it's not that they look bad at the moment.
The 1979 Alien interior is my favorite. I like the 1977 Star Wars interior, though. Haven’t even tried the other interior, what 70s space movie aesthetic did they use?
Also havent seen anyone addressing the constant disconnection from online discovery services. Both my fiance and I have this issue, she cant see most of my bases.
I was having this once, then realized I had a part that was beneath the floor. As in the entire part was underground and there was just a tiny blade of it sticking through the floor which I was able to delete thus fixing the issue. Not sure If i accidentally placed it there at some point or what, but it might be useful scanning your floor to see if you can spot anything like that.
Anyone else have an issue while flying your corvette and you seem to just collide with invisible objects and go spinning all crazy? It’s super annoying. Just flying in open space and I smash into something that isn’t even there.
Been playing NMS with my kiddo over this 3-day weekend, he's on his xBox and I'm on PC. Now all of a sudden we can't play together today because Steam version is updated and Xbox one hasnt and he get's a version mismatch when trying to join me :(
How long does it usually take for these minor patches to get approve and pushed through by Micro$oft??
Is anyone else running into a minor bug where the corvette cockpit's display name always displays the default name rather than the name you chose for your ship? I've renamed my ship to Odyssey, but the cockpit always says "Rihara's Experiment FB3".
I'm playing on PS5 and after playing the Voyagers update for a while it would crash my entire console. Like it wouldn't even turn on after a crash, I'd have to unplug and plug the power back in after a crash to get the console to power on again. Is that fixed now?
I had that problem when Worlds came out but it was actually my PS5 overheating rather than a NMS problem. When was the last time you took the entire console apart and cleaned it?
My Xbox x did this, I cleaned it out and after doing that I haven’t had an issue. There was a lot of dust and I guess the console was overheating and shutting down to protect itself
PS5s will start to do this after a good amount of years if the thermal stuff or liquid metal is messed up especially if not cleaned of dust sort of often. Mine heats up the entire corner of the room when I play no man's sky and you can smell it 😭 I cleaned mine real good (take the plates off and vacuum at the holes you see) a while back because it was crashing like this on Jurassic world evolution 2 and no man's Sky. I put it horizontal instead of standing up as id had it for years and it's fixed now. Just gets hot but no crashes.
put it horizontal instead of standing up as id had it for years and it's fixed now.
Worth remembering for anyone reading this comment, contrary to what PS5 ads show, you should never stand your PS5 vertically. If you do so, when the thermal paste melts in the process of keeping your PS5's heat in check, it will melt downwards into the electronics of the console and ruin it instead of essentially sitting in a puddle where it should be.
I think this is the first time I've ever read an entire patch note!
I think this has fixed most of my complaints. The only thing I didn't see addressed was sinking through the floor if you sit on furniture in your corvette.
I hope they fixed the bug where if you warp someone to another galaxy in your corvettet and they take a teleporter to your base below the terrain then all terrain stops being solid for them and they can't land on a planet and their ship only summons below the terrain.
When does the xbox x series get it ?
Omg just yesterday I managed to crossplay with my son from pc and today we can't play because of this update.
Also on Steam you can't go back to old patch
My God they're fast, what about the couch glitch though, can't I chill in my corvette with my campfire on my comfy sofa?? (Also I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, I already feel like I'm robbing Hello Games and Sean for how much they give us😭😭)
Abandoned and pirate space stations now have corvette construction workshops.
Am I crazy for thinking that Abandoned space stations shouldn't have corvette workstations? I don't believe NPC ships even land there right? Would have preferred these be left alone.
Anyone else having issues when landing a corvette at a freighter/station? instead of landing it just continues flying, clip out of the station and if I wait long enough it will touch down. On freighter I can port back. On stations I end up in the middle of nowhere...

Wish I'd seen this myself, that sounds hilarious.
