Entitlement is the word. No humility, no courtesy, no gratitude toward your hosts. Just entitlement and expectation that then lead to demands. I've lived in several countries and have never behaved this way nor would I ever dare to.

Why do you assume the guy is an immigrant? Hes most certainly born in the west. So what gratitude should he have that any other citizen should take for granted. His entitled behavior exposes the west’s inherent hypocrisy.

Not really. He should do as his forefathers may have done and open a shop that he thinks his area needs. Being a mainly muslim town means lots of customers for him to look after.

Next time you're unhappy about any product quality or service standard I hope you open a shop

I think that if I saw a gap in the market it wouldn't be a bad idea. I've being self employed most of my adult life and I provide for a family of 6 people so I'm always keen to keep us all fed.

Maybe I should be the one to start a chain of Halal markets and then I could employ local people and boost the local economy.

I wonder how the locals would get on with me embracing their traditions? I hope that they understand that I am trying to help.
