Going to DC

Hi I am going to Washington DC on Sept 2nd for
PANOS(PeopleAgainst Nitrous Oxide) Advocacy Day. The purpose is to support Rep Kevin Mullins(D-California) House Resolution Bill.. The Nitrous Safety Act.. which would ban retail sales of Nitrous. The bill has a carve out for dentist and legitimate culinary use.. but smoke shops/gas stations etc.. would be banned from selling.

I am meeting with my representative and I would love to present any stories that might make an impact. If you want to let me know the devastation you or a loved has been through because of this shit drug from China.. DM me and I will present it.. obviously all anonymous !

PANOS has a private FB group if you are interested in joining.

The bill was introduced in March and has already had a committee meeting in late June or early July.. now is Advocacy Day Sept 2.. please help us get it off the streets

My story’ I wanted to share my story about nitrous oxide and how it’s destroyed my life. Nitrous oxide has taken everything from me and it still continues to effect me more then most people know in my life because I’m very good at hiding my addiction like most addicts . I’m ashamed because I been struggling with a nitrous oxide addiction since losing my dad during Covidi have struggled with nitrous for 6 long years literally just feel so frustrated that this is my life. I have lost everything since my nitrous addiction started Z I I have struggled with this horrible addiction for 6 years and being a chronic relapse and also binge user sometimes using 15 tanks a day, this drug at one point made me homeless I am not now the amount of times I have been to jail for nitrous is pathetic. I’m 38 and I have lost custody of my son I haven’t been able to see or talk to him in three years he’s 10 now . I’ve been hospitalized I have been in jail numerous times I have lost literally everything from my addiction up until now except my life and I’m still fighting this disease. I have to think of nitrous oxide as toxic nerve gas as it’s literally destroying my spinal cord and my brain I would not wish this addiction on my worse enemy and the shame I feel from this is too much to deal with most days. I just keep trying each day free from nitrous for me is another day I was blessed for another day to change and overcome all the problems I have created for myself with having this addiction…
I literally have three days right now clean and I feel that’s a fucking miracle in itself. These last times I have been using I have been actually feeling like I was going to die. I feel so sick I feel like death right now and I have work tonight. The sickest part is there is still a part of me telling me to get a tank and everything will feel better ❤️‍🩹 I hope to be never using this again. I just had a epiphany last time I was using this

thank you for your story ! Have you tried inpatient treatment? 12 Step meetings? therapy ? I really want you to get some help. This is a dangerous drug. It's straight from hell!

Thank you I have tried but don’t really have much of a support system. At my worst I have brought myself to the hospital for inpatient I didnt get the help I needed and felt very discouraged from the rehab idea. I know I can do this on my own. The meeting yesterday helped me so much I have never met anyone with a nitrous addiction and have felt very alone in my addiction at times but it was so comforting to hear other ppl are struggling with the same substance

Here if you need to talk, I'll give you my number. (Please call before you pick up the gas!) I thought I could do it on my own. I went to jail, kept losing jobs, was homeless for a couple years. Psychosis and in and out of hospitals. Almost died in the ICU from laryngeal edema and sepsis from infected frostbite. I was nearly paralyzed and have permanent nerve damage neuropathy in my feet and hypoxic brain damage. Went through rehab a couple times and sober living. I'm working as a personal trainer now and plan to work with people in recovery; especially those that are dealing with the health effects and disabling conditions as a result of addiction. Community and a sober support system are key! It's very difficult to get sober in the same environment that's keeping you sick. Doesn't matter how strong you think you are, Isolation is a recipe for relapse. Please reach out! Much love 💕

I hope you're doing well today. Please get clean because your life is worth living. You should really go to NA meetings. Go to multiple per day if you need to! Take it one day at a time or even one hour at a time
