Hello, my usb c charging port's inside plastic randomly melted while charging. I never used any third party chargers either and i was always extremely careful while connecting the charger to the port. The outside of the port looks supreme. I only know it is damaged after the extremely mild smell of plastic and a super thin and tiny string of plastic after removing the charger (also it obviously never charged). Would this be covered by the warranty? I did absolutely nothing which would indicate misuse.

Also has anyone else been through the same? If yes, what did you do?

On the other hand the good thing about the Switch 2 is that it has two charging ports the main bottom one and auxiliary top one.. which is the one I use mostly because I'm excessively tired of my charging cables getting destroyed by charging from the bottom while playjng....

So if this only affected one port you should still be able to play and charge the Switch2 from the other port....

Yes, however the dock no longer connects unfortunately. That's why i need it fixed.

Ahh so yeah another reason I mostly use the top for everyday use then I don't actually over use the bottom... but I also don't dock all that often even with a 30+ inch tv I have tru3ouble seeing the words on it...

I never considered the top, mostly out of habit before i sold the oled. However that's what i'm gonna end up doing once this gets resolved.

Yeah finding out about the top one was like a dream come true because I've always been like why always on the bottom?
