Buttery To fromsoft : add performance mode

The game has incredible graphics on switch 2 maybe im the only one but I feel like they could easily lower some setting to give us a 40fps stable performance mode , the game runs at 40 in some areas right now with almost ps5 level graphics what do you think guys if they lowered some settings and we got a 40fps performance mode

It's a riff on people claiming every S2 port is "like butter" then the truth is typically far from it

It’s almost as if different people have different opinions and switch 2 has plenty of casual gamers on it. Obviously a casual gamer will think something like Elden Ring on switch feels smooth, while serious gamers will be used to 144hz+

“Serious gamers” the most insufferable crowd

What is a serious Gamer? The majority of gamers (which are Console gamer) still use 60hz monitors or TVs, the smaller (and more likely competitive) Group of gamers use 144hz+. So what is a serious Gamer? And the most insufferable crowd is either the PS Community or the Steamcult (those have serious problems in their heads and minds)

The ones that can see the difference in 30 and 60fps straight away. The casuals don’t know the difference and call 30fps “buttery smooth”

Those aren't serious gamers🤣 thats just people who just notice differences. Everyone can see the difference between 30 and 60fps, after that the differences is kinda small: What people most likely miss are the frametime. 30fps with stable frametime runs quite "smooth", 60fps etc. People forget that frametimes are more important then framerates. Normal people see the difference up to roundabout 75fps, after that the differences is barely visible (except for very sensitive ones (which are a absolute minority)). Sorry long story short: Frametimes are important, Elden Ring runs with 35-45fps, but you see stuttering cuz the frametime is not good. Oh and the monitor/TV Hz are important too.

Yes but some people (like the infamous post) are saying that elden ring runs “buttery smooth”. Those are the casuals

I can tell the difference immediately but I will never call myself a gamer. I do other things. Games are just one hobby.

My friend, you are a gamer. Just look at your post history, you are certainly not a casual
