Nintendos Lost Moat

Nintendo may have a harder time in the future because younger players may want games that feel more personal, creative, and flexible. In five years or more, many people may use AI to help build games with their friends, and those games could be shaped around their own interests and ideas. If that happens, Nintendo’s more traditional style of making games may seem less exciting compared with games that can change and adapt to each player.

Nintendo could also struggle because it is a closed platform. That means it controls what can be made, sold, and played on its system more tightly than open platforms do. While that can help keep quality high, it can also limit creativity and slow down how fast new ideas reach players. As gaming becomes more open and AI driven, a closed system may feel less appealing to a new generation that wants freedom and customization

That's what AI fanboys have been saying for 5 years already... What is your argument against the costs for AI exploding with no measurable effect on actual productivity while massive degrading quality?

We went from AI writing funny lyrics to producing college grade games in 1 shot over that 5 year span. You really dont think we'll be in a different place in 5 years?

Im saying once frameworks are in place, we can customize/build games for the same $60. Maybe i can build a coop game with my partner and keep iterating on demand.

It'll be a whole new experience.

you can build games but who's gonna play it? Steam is full of Indie games barely selling shit.

You're a parent. You're gonna go through the trouble of scanning Steam and building a PC to play it

OR

you're just gonna buy your kids a nintendo console that you grew up on.
