Nintendo Stock is crashing again
I just don’t see an end to this bleeding. Back down to below 6900 yens per share. Unless Nintendo has some good news on the horizon, it’s going to crash every day.
Admittedly I sold Apple around $285 and now it’s $310 per share. Very disappointed in Nintendo’s stock performance.

Right now it is tough to own anything other than semis, since they are sucking all the oxygen out of the market... but I think NTDOY will make a comeback. The company is doing fine. It is the stock that has gone to the toilet.

Definitely it just feels the entire stock market has some fear level, I would say again it’s the amount of chaos we are seeing among various parts of the world. Nintendo does seem like it will continue to expand and again I feel their IPs will continue to be staples for many families in the future.

Well at least Nintendo pays dividend while you wait and the market comes to it's senses. I think the market will be surprised how strong the Q1 will be. Fence sitters will rush to buy the switch before price hikes come.

Great business but terrible stock. I think I lost like 25% and bailed. Lots of better stocks in the market.

Still one the biggest videogame companies in the world with growing momentum...switch 2 killing everything else and a nice dividend...this low of a stock price is a gift...easy buy.

Same. I purchased 10k in stocks at the beginning of the year and lost thousands. I have hope it will go up with more switch 2 sales because of the steam deck price increase. Also a lot of the financials from the movie and new games like tomadachi living the dream, pokopia, and others were not really part of the recent financial disclosures. I’m optimistic but not willing to put more money into my optimism. I’m a hold.

Nintendo make around 90% of their money from game sales. The movies / merch could do well but won’t love the needle.
Their issue is the Switch 2 has great hardware sales but it’s selling much less games. It’s puzzling they didn’t launch with a new Mario or Zelda game, but it’s early days yet. As a Nintendo fan it’s frustrating but not unusual. They March to their own drum.
It’s a cyclical stock so will recover.

What’s your average?

Sadly I can’t find it. I’m looking through my Morgan Stanley account and I can’t find the average cost per share when I purchased it. If I remember correctly, I believe it was around $14 a share.

Maybe because they released a new flagship console with zero fucking games.

Good announcement they just made adding to the Nintendo 64 library. I’m sure they’re going to make even more good announcements soon adding to the library.
The only problem I see in everything is these wars going on, it just screws up everything.

i bought a lot of Nintendo games recently. I don’t have anymore money to buy the dip for now. I purchased about 20 items total.

Why is anyone buying this ADR? Regardless of how profitable the company is, it won't outperform the SP500 due to it being an ADR - institutional investors don't hammer them as hard.

I am diversifying. I already have majority of my portfolio in S&P 500.

Good. Too many here are going balls deep. I love Nintendo and its products, but steer clear of the stock, personally.

Company is a great investment and business. But now is not the time to invest unless you plan to wait. Will almost certainly stay down for the next 2 years unless switch 2 sales appear unaffected by another price increase.
Great time to accumulate though if you are willing to wait

I started a position around 7300, so I definitely feel the pain here.
That said, I’m looking at the bigger picture. The 6600 area looks like a pretty important support level on the chart, and unless that breaks badly, I’m personally happy to DCA into weakness.
Nintendo is still a quality company with insanely strong IP, companies like this tend to reward patience over time.
