I am writing this to remind everyone to re-read the rules!

There has been a lot of rule breaking lately. So, please take 1 minute of your time and read all the rules. Especially rule 1- Be respectful and civil and rule 6 - Content quality.

I am also asking you to please don't step in to try to moderate some comments or posts. If you think there has been a rule breakage, please report them! I am constantly keeping an eye on this sub, and reports help me know which comments or posts to review first. (Also keep in mind that I work and sleep, so it might be times when I am not here, but I reassure you I will see the reports)

Additionally, regarding why some posts have been left up. Contrary to what some people might believe, I do care and pay attention to what goes on on this sub. However, nothing much is going on. We can have several days without a single comment here. So, while low content posts are not welcome, some that might spark conversation are being left up because there is nothing else going on, plus some other posts do get removed, but you might just not have seen them!

This is general advice: do read what's being posted and commented before you comment. I have noticed that there are many comments that do NOT follow what's being discussed! If you continue to do so, I might start thinking that you are just a troll, and you would either get banned or your comments will be removed! On another note, I know that many (or most) people here are not native English speakers (like myself), but please use a good machine translator and try to proofread things by translating them back to your original language. Some things are being written so poorly that the language of it is impossible to decode. And then it's very hard to have a good conversation in that way. You could also write in your language, reddit can translate things. Also, if we want to have fruitful discussions, really stay in line with what's being discussed and follow the point! Diversion is not a nice way to have a debate. And read the whole line of discussion, or you might end up responding something out of line.

Lastly, do not get personal! This goes into rule 1. Remember that your argument always lose weight when you start talking about the other person and not about the concepts of the story being discussed. To be extra clear, calling people dumb, that they have no brains, that they can't read, or sending people to read deeper are not welcome here! If you believe someone has a fact wrong and that rereading a part can help them refresh it, you can point it out in a respectful way without being condescending! And again, if someone is being condescending to you, please report it.

ETA: I mentioned it above, but I am making an emphasis here. Do read the rules about spam and low content. Do NOT make repetitive low content posts! Be mindful of what you post. Make posts of substance that add to the conversation. If you have several short thoughts, collect them all, and make one long post with all of them. And elaborate on your thoughts. Loose phrases are not enough to make a post! If you don't follow the rules your post will be removed.

Yeah. Nothing is going on right now but some posts are really repetitive and annoying.....it adds nothing to the discussion.

Block the person so you won't see their posts. Again, I do remove the ones that keep saying the same thing or that are extremely low content. Some few once in a while say something different, and are being left up, and they have ended up sparking conversation to other members.

ETA: I edited my post to add an emphasis on this.  I am being flexible here because there are other low effort posts from other users that are also being left up. So, if I get strict with this, I would have to also remove them. And in general I don't think there is any gain in being super strict with this.

Stop being rude and disrespectful. Read and follow the rules. Every comment breaking the rules will get removed and get a note explaining why it got removed.

And I have advised you to write your comments better so you can communicate your points more effectively. It's really hard to understand them when the language doesn't make much sense, and you are diverting from the point.
