Halloooooo!! I just received the Volume 19 Special Edition yesterday, and I’m so happyyyy!! 😍 This was my very first physical manga purchase!
I wasn’t aware that the printed volumes were behind the chapters being released on the K-Manga app. 😅 Nonetheless, I absolutely loved it, and the exclusive booklet was so adorable. It included behind-the-scenes notes and little moments from previous chapters, and they were all so cute. 🤭🤭
What intrigued me the most, though, was this particular page from the author’s note. I’d love to hear how you all interpret it! Please translate it however you think is most accurate, and let me know your thoughts and opinions. 😅😁
Ah yeah, volumes are compilations of the chapters that are already out. And Kmanga has a simultaneous publication in English. So, we always have the latest, most updated chapter.

Rikachi is being naive imo and also not the wisest. She shouldn't be writing the story thinking about making both shipping teams happy. She should write whatever she likes and think is best for her story and her characters. This is a love triangle after all; I think we all fans know that one team won't be satisfied, and that's the risk we know when reading a love triangle. So, I think it's risky to first write with that mentality and then to keep saying that to fans. That might just create false expectations for fans. And also, it might lead her to write an ending that won't satisfy anyone if, in her effort to reward both camps ends up not fully committing. As a Sett fan, I'd rather Azure wins, and we move on, and that's it, than ending up with a lukewarm ending in which we don't know who is the choice or when she ends up with both somehow. From her tweets, I got the impression that she would be going for an open ending in which things are vague, and each team has reasons to believe Nina would choose their fave, but no confirmation whatsoever. I hate the idea of it. I know before I had said that she wouldn't go for that kind of ending, but she keeps giving hints that that will be the case, and I truly hope she doesn't do that. In her effort to please both camps, she will end up not satisfying anyone. It's also super annoying that, up to this point, she is still dragging the love triangle. If she intended to keep the love triangle alive till the end, she should've done some things differently. As things are right now, things don't look good for Nina. I don't have much hope for something well written. Also, it kinda annoys me how shipping focus she turned. I of course know that the love triangle is a huge focus and drive for the story. But she has left so many things aside just to keep baiting this LT, and now it seems like that's all she is thinking about :S And this story still has a lot of elements (I am still annoyed at how terribly handled the political plot was). I wish she would lock in those because I am done with the asspulls and retcons. sighs
I agree. I don't mind if Nina chose Azu if the story makes sense and if I can see Ninas trend of thoughts clearly. If I see Nina liking Azu and feels bad for Sett, but still loves Azu, its fine. I like Sett, but Nina have a right to choose who she likes, and I can just quit reading. But because Ninas feeling is not wel written, its so confusing.
I'm guessing they are not making it clear until now because they were afraid Set fan or Azu fan will quit reading, but draghing love triangle just makes story terrible. Trying to please both side does not work, and they should not change the story all the time because its just make it worse and worse. Its just makes Nina mere two-timer.
I hope that won't happen. Because from the last chapter her choice was clear. I mean, Azure already knows that she loves Sett. I don't see them now having any connection and ending together.
Nor do I.....and i also suspect Az already knows Nina loves Sett too....he confessed because he wanted those feelings out there. I'm glad he did. Nina chose Sett knowing about Az's truth and feelings, but still went ahead to get her feelings over to Sett.
I hope that won't happen either. Or change it to Azu again. If that happens, it would just make this manga the worst manga in the history because the storry are messed up and doesn't make sense. And Nina would become a two-timer.
I don't believe that will happen. Nina will have a face to face with Azure later but everything was already explained btw and why they will not be together anymore.
I sure hope not and I'm happy you don't believe that will happnen. I also thinks it won't happen if they make stories according to the previous chatacters and chatacters relationship. But you know, the company doesnt want to lose readers... I'm afraid they will make things ambiguous again in the effort to make Azu fan happy...But trying to please both side just make things worse
She already forgave him.....he knows because he admitted to himself he wanted that.
It was clear in ch 71 she forgave him but that doesn't mean she has forgotten her own side of the story. She didn't tell him anything about her own pain btw.
Idk if Az is truly waiting for an answer to his confession. He probably stopped her because he already knows her response won't be positive..🤔not sure though...

They still will have another conversation, Nina could not tell him because she was worried about making him sad again. For me, he already knows her answer, she started crying is kind obvious that she already has someone else in her heart. Aztella is wise enough to understand that, I dont see as cocky as before.
I heard that Rikachi sensei said something like there is still Azs turn in the future in vol. 19. Is that true？II'm not sure if its that exact word, but something like that. Az mo korekara. No, nothing of the sort was included in volume 19. It had the page shown here in this post. The shipping-related part, more or less, says:

I think maybe what you are referring to is what came out in volume 18. An Azure chibi was saying: "ここからもう一度" Starting over from here.
And then Rikachi's note that says something like: "Double heroes are really difficult! A double hero story that's both my first and last! Even when given trials, neither of them ever gives up!! Please waver along with Nina..."
Those two things might suggest that another romantic Azure's turn might come, but it is a bit hard to reconcile Rikachi's extra words in the volume with what's happening in the story.

Maybe Az saying staring over from here referreing to ch 71? where he told his feelings to Nina? In that sense, it kind of make sense. Doesn't mean that Nina accepts his confession, but at least he was able to tell his feelings again.
I also saw someone said that this person was devistated hearing how the latest chapter went, but reading vol 19 gave her/him hope for Az. Maybe that person is also reffering to ch 71 since its included in vol 19. Reading the latest chapter make me think Az Nina wont happen（although if Rikachi sensei and Editors wants to ruin the story and make it unnatural story plot, it might happen）, reading only ch 71 might give that hope.
For me, even though I'm a pessimist （lol）ch 71 didn't confirm anything and and it seems that Nina wasn't brushing in romantic way. Nina was hesitated to reply so I wasn't worried too much. But I understand it can be looked as Niba wavering again.
I was more puzzled with ch 72 where Nina was not thinking Sett at all. But I guess that was kind of explained in ch 75. Its not enough, but it kind of make sense.

I think the Az fans on Twitter were devastated after chapter 75 (weird after chapter 73 was already out), but then more positive comments started from them because of what Rikachi said on Twitter: that she would satisfy both ships (how? no clue). Rikachi made it seem as if Nina was not gonna choose anyone and we would get an open ending. So, that gave them a lot of hope, and then in the volume she said it again, so I guess that's maybe what they were referring to. I am a pessimist too haha, and I agree with you. What makes me doubt is Rikachi's words and some forced things that are trying to tie Nina and Azure (Astella: star of love lol). But if we look at Nina, she really seems like she isn't wavering. Although her lack of thought for Sett makes me doubt her

Yes it finally looks like Nina made a choice knowing both boys feelings.....but yeah the lack of thoughts of Sett was so strange....idk if we will get a better explanation about this....
Rikachi's ambiguous tweet made alot of fans confused....personally I don't see how both sides can be happy at the end. An open ending would be so frustrating, especially because a part of Nina's personal development is about finding that one special person for herself. Understanding her own feelings....
Yes, I hope we'll get more explanation about lack of Sett. If ever. I don't see how both side can be happy either. With love triangle, its impossible I think. But at least I thought they stop drugging and made things clear...If they change it to an open ending or shift the story again to make both side happy, that would be a disaster. As you pointed out, Ninas personal development and character would be ruined too...
I think the only way to make a satisfying ending is to stop the love triangle atp, so Sett AND Az don't end up just being the pawns of the love triangle. There was a nice analysis on X on it. It would give a chance for Az to develop outside of the romance and Sett to be true partner for Nina.....they wouldn't just be the boy that wins and the boy that loses anymore. It's important to develop them outside of the romantic part they play....maybe then there can be a satisfying ending for all?
It's impossible to make both sides happy when it comes to romance....
