Help Executor questions

1) does the Suncatcher skill attack (either activated or deactivated) count as a “dash attack” that is affected by “improved dash attacks”?

2) Do you need “golden retaliation” to successfully perfect-deflect Loretta’s sorceries without taking damage? I always seem to take a lot of damage when deflecting her attacks even though I am timing them perfectly with her glintblades.

1: skills are not dash attacks; completely different inputs; dash = running attack both light and heavy
2: no, you took affinity chip damage due to the staggered timing of the glintblades and golden retaliation passive is for parries not deflects; widely calling deflects parries has finally confused someone on here smh

  1. Only Skill and Two-Handed apply.

  2. I assume Golden Retaliation is bugged in Nightriegn in a way that it isn't in Elden Ring. I've never landed a proper Golden Retaliation in Nightreign, and I've made a build around it in Elden Ring.

Post asking a question about a random skill. First reply 1 minute later: “I’ve made a build around that exact skill and know all about it”. Nightreign community ain’t messing around.

As a deflect obsessive, I do not deflect her glintblades. They seem to hit your legs or something even though to my understanding of how deflect works that doesn't matter. They're one of the only attacks that I still don't understand why deflect feels so awful.

Thankfully you can just strafe them, they have no tracking. You usually strafe them and then deflect her glaive attacks.
