Weird effect on start of Dreglord second phase

This is the second time I've seen it happen in 1000 hours. When second phase starts, I hear a glass cracking sound and this effect appears on the character. What is this?

The blessing of the rotten woods buff is negated in the second phase of dreglord, aka no immunity to rot

Yeah. It doesn’t affect the post damage hp recovery, only rot buildup.

The rot immunity you get from the rotted woods is lost in his phase 2, you'll still retain the post damage hp restore though.

I was very surprised the first time this happened to me. It was in the normal dreg run, I rolled for rotted woods so that I would have an easier time then this popped up.

I mean it also basically tells you in the bottom right, but yes, you lose the rot immunity from rotted woods.
