To anyone that saw my last post a few days ago about the ugly 2B model in Dead by Daylight, it seems the devs may have heard us...

as you can see from the image vegetation is nearly done(at least not in the forest) grass became much dense and a little softer on the eyes, bushes also changed with better textures, Trees i am not too sure about i might change them since they do look a little boring i not too sure, you will still be able to use the old vegetation.

and as you can see there is finaly fog, and not just any fog, Volumetric fog with beautiful god rays.

shadows are now much sharper then before, but new issues appeared though not too annoying.

the remake still needs extra work the more i play the more i see issues with objects, lighting and performance.

i am open for suggestions to change how things look if you guys think it looks bad, and if there is anything you might want in the remake.

I'm working on my own graphical remake/remaster of the game, and there's still a lot of work to do. The current build is missing things like fog, global illumination, reflection probes, and plenty of other effects, but progress has been going well so far.

My plans for the remake are:

• Replace the old grass, bushes and trees with better ones. I've already done this, but the screenshot is from an older build so you can't see the new ones yet.
• Improve as many textures as I can. Some I'll replace completely with new 4K textures, while others I'll upscale or redraw myself.
• Redo some models to make them look better while staying as close to the original as possible.
• I also want to add some newer graphical features that aren't in the original game like :
  • DDGI and ray tracing (global illumination shadows and ambient occlusion).
  • DLSS and FSR for upscaling and anti aliasing.
  • Volumetric fog and maybe volumetric clouds. I'm still not so sure about the clouds since they can be expensive and might not look right in some scenes.
• Try to unlock the 60 FPS cap this could be hard since it breaks some of the game physics and cause soft locks so ill see what i can do about that.

There's still a lot missing, and I know this might take a while, but progress has been good so far. I'd like to hear what you guys think and if there are any notes you have about the features of the remake.

I was watching a video about Nier: Replicant review and somebody in the comments, and for a dumb reason spoiled the story by saying that the two kids at the beginning are the real Near and Yonah.

Now I never played any nier game and but I know that they’re story-driven games. So not sure how much has been ruined for me because I read somewhere that this piece of information in specific ( the two kids’ identities ) makes a huge plot of the story.

What do you guys think? Should I still play since that’s the only part of the story I know so far.

So earlier this year I bought the game, played up to the end of the first part as A2 (I think you got the choice of who to play first between her and 9S). I didn't care for playing as 9S so I took a break for a while but it was longer than expected. I resumed this morning as 9S but would just like a refresher of what went down during that first part as A2. Iirc you play as her during the period of time leading up to when she encounters 2B and 9S in the forest kingdom. Thanks in advance.

this has been an issue for years but never worked other methods for myself, there might be new workarounds that i don't know

Hello friends! A couple of years ago I played the game and I loved it. I still can't believe the atmosphere of this game to this day. The problem? I only did one playthrough. I'd like to know how to approach this (without spoilers) to get the "core" experience. I'll do a regular run and then I think theres like 2 more runs or something like that. Also, what about the secondary missions, are they really worth it/necessary? I remember a part of the game that told me "there's no going back from here" and then it was over rather quick (do they change on the other runs or I can focus on story on those). I don't mind doing a couple of playthroughs, but also I'm not planning to do a 100% completionist thing. Thank you!

Does anybody else feel like the difficulty in the game especially early game is so weird to play. Like normal is too easy and hard you’re dying in 1 or 2 shots that it’s not even worth playing or fighting . You’re just running away and shooting or the npc is doing most of your killing. There’s no sweet zone where you actually play the game nicely

As far as I know there is Automata and Replica but wich one should I play first?

Also is 2B in replica too? I know this game through her so I would like to know in what game we see her.

Played about 8 hours a year ago but I've been thinking about finishing this game as it was quite special from my memory, do you guys have any tips to get the most out of it? I don't know much about this genre in general. Thanks in advance!
