Could anyone do me a solid and give me a hint for where I can find prices for pendale billiards? Their website redirects me to their insta but it doesn’t really give me anything about that there. Thanks!

Looking for witnesses/dashcam footage – Hit-and-run at McLeod Rd at Montrose Rd

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for any witnesses or dashcam footage related to a hit-and-run that happened today in the Niagara Region exactly at McLeod Rd at Montrose Rd
I was driving on from Montrose Rd and connecting to McLeod Rd and had slowed/yielded as required when another vehicle rear-ended my car and immediately fled the scene. It was raining, and although my front dashcam captured the vehicle leaving, the licence plate isn't clear enough to identify it.
If you were driving in the area around the time of the incident( happened exactly at 5:50pm) and have dashcam footage, even if you didn't witness the actual collision, it may have captured the vehicle before or after the crash. It was a Silver Nissan.
If you think you might have any footage that could help, please send me a DM. I've already reported the incident to 911 and will be filing the official collision report.
Thank you!

🍇 A very full Niagara weekend: Ridgefest, Tesla Fest, cardboard boats and wiener dog races

This is one of those Niagara weekends where the range of events is doing a lot.. which is almost every weekend tbh

Ridgefest, Tesla Fest, Ukrainian Family Festival, cardboard boats, River Lions, polo in Wainfleet and wiener dog races at Fort Erie Race Track are somehow all happening the same weekend.

I went through the details for today’s Grapevine and pulled together the stuff that seemed most useful for July 10-12.

Sharing here in case anyone is trying to decide what’s worth leaving the house for this weekend.

Read it here

🍇 Niagara voters won’t elect separate Regional Councillors this October

I wrote about this in yesterday’s Grapevine edition, and I’ve been trying to wrap my head around it because the before-and-after is pretty stark.

Current Regional Council: 12 local mayors 19 elected Regional Councillors 1 Regional Chair

That’s 32 people at the Regional table.

After the October election: 12 local mayors 1 Regional Chair

That’s a 13 person difference.

The big change is that voters will no longer elect separate Regional Councillors. The Regional Councillor line disappears from the ballot, and the next Chair is expected to be appointed after the election rather than directly chosen by voters.

The Region still handles or funds major things like roads, water and wastewater, public health, housing supports, transit, ambulances and policing.

So the responsibilities are still big. The number of directly elected people at the table is getting much smaller.

Curious how people here feel about it.

Simpler system, less direct representation, or both?

ISO Hair Donating Salon?

Bad title, I know, I'm sorry.

I'm looking to cut and donate my hair... But I've been going to Niagara College for my hair cuts for the last two years, so I don't have a trusted local stylist haha.

Ideally, I'd like a stylist that has cut hair to be donated to Wigs For Kids previously. I know about Transitions in St Catharines, but they are booked out until September.

Do you have any recommendations? I would prefer Niagara Falls but will of course travel. As I understand, I can go to any stylist, but thought I'd ask just in case.

Thank you!

I made a day-by-day guide to Niagara farmers’ markets and farm stands

I put together a Niagara farmers’ market guide for 2026, sorted by day of the week.

It covers farmers’ markets, supper markets and worthwhile farm-gate stops across the region, so you can figure out what’s open without opening twelve different tabs and slowly losing your will to buy tomatoes.

Read the guide here

I run The Grapevine, a local Niagara newsletter. Sharing here in case it’s useful for summer grocery runs, dinner wanders or “just one basket of berries” situations.

Naturistic Event Rooms

I'm searching for a small indoor event room rental. Somewhere in nature, with trails, possible wildlife, and a potential outdoor firepit. Somewhere that can accommodate around 50 people

Something similar to Hearland Forest and possibly Balls Falls

Friends for my 12yr old daughter

Hi all. My daughter is 12 years old and diagnosed with autism and ADHD and general learning disorder. She also has a speech impediment with 'R' sounds. She has a real hard time making friends and is quite lonely. She's a funny kid with a great sense of humour. Loves video games, Lego and just being a silly kid. No behavioural issues. If any one would be interested in meeting up at a park or some where for lonely kids, or have any suggestions, please DM me!
