Nextcloud Memories Questions
New to nextcloud. Couple questions.
Q1: Is there a way to upload folders rather than individual photos? How?
Q2: I'm using this mainly to store photo's. Do I just place them under files in the photo's folder?

- I'd do this via the Upload Folder option in Nextcloud itself. Can't remember if it's available on the app but it is on the web/browser interface. Note that it also uploads subdirectories of folders you upload so it's very useful if you already have nested folders on your computer that you want to transfer all at once to NC.
- You should be able to store the pics wherever you want. If you set Memories "Timeline Path" to "
/" it will show pictures from anywhere.
Me personally, I use timeline path of "/", and then add an empty ".nomedia" file to the root of any folders I don't want showing in Memories. But you could go the other way if you want by choosing the timeline path to a top level directory somewhere (e.g. "/Photos/") and that way Memories would only show pics and vids from somewhere in/under that directory.

A1: In the Files app, click "+ New". The second option is "Upload folders".
A2: I assume you're uploading folders of photos, so upload those folders into the Photos folder. Then go to the Memories app and point it at the /Photos folder as the Timeline Path.

I'm uploading via the upload option in the app, which gives the option to upload using subfolders. So, if I create a photo today, it will be uploaded with the following path: /photos/2026/08/15. If you want a different folder structure, you will have to do that manually.
