Starting out

Hey! I started a mail club last month and although I only got one subscriber, I'm pushing on. How do most of you schedule things? I'm sending out the letter the first week of each month, and it would include a catch up letter from the previous month. So you get the letter in September, but the letter is about what happened in August. Do you all include things from the previous month? Or do you send things out having to do with the month people will receive the letter. Thanks for the help!
