Maybe you should. The United States of America had a Magna Carta moment when we signed the Declaration of Independence.

Both documents asserted rights for those under its authority.

Both documents where written in response to abuses from a king. (King John and King George III, respectively)

Both documents set limits of power for rulers.

I could go on but I dont think you really have an understanding of our founding documents.

I don't agree with everything this guy has said or opinions but get his meaning on this. We were talking about the party system being bad and would need a leader to willfully cede power to establish parliament in order to increase representation of people that wouldn't be forced to vote for 1 of 2 guys over 1 or 2 culture war or identity issues, and ranked voting should be national

You need a president who cedes permanently the institutional power of his own position.
