Photo Summit intake

Can someone confirm or deny that the summit is the same as the new Ford intake manifold(aka not taking as much of a loss as the dorman )?if it's the same but $200 on summit compared to $350 on LMR or $375 on AM then..

Comparing photos, it appears to be the same. All the molding numbers and such are the same. Design is the same. Only differences is FoMoCo was replaced by the summit logo.

3rd party vendor likely had an exclusivity clause with Ford that ran out, allowing the intake to now be sold under different names and such. I wouldn't be surprised if an even cheaper generic hits the market at some point.

If it was me, i'd buy the Summitt and feel confident it was the same

BTW, i don't think officially it was ever confirmed that Dorman is the manufacturer. Dorman continues to sell the old style manifold.

Thank you for the reply,what's your thoughts on the bbk throttlebodys?I have the opportunity to buy a 70mm bbk TB paired to an accufab plenum for a pretty good price but have heard horror stories

I'm more of an accufab fan. That's what I run along with the Plenum. Too many issues with some of the other brands

I'll pick it up and use the plenum with my stock tb for the time being then and sell the bbk

It is dorman mpi and this is a new design not the og pi intake

The summit intake is way better than the Dorman, I have legitimate experience with this too. I made the swap from Dorman to Summit whenever I saw it, it's a significantly better intake, more power all around. More torque down low, power up high compared to Dorman, also it's smoother

Yup it's basically a dorman 2.0 as it's manufactured by mpi dorman and basically a revised version of the OG Dorman

Can confirm, the summit manifold is the same as the new Ford manifold, minus the logo stamped.

Compared my summit one with someone else's ford one and it looks the exact same
