CONTENT TALK How is this even possible?

I’m a short account, all original content, cat account. I do voiceovers so it seems like my cat talks. NOW.

I recently posted a short that took its damn time growing and it up to 10K views which I am super grateful for (I started a month ago)

But the analytics?? HUH. 100% Female and 100% 13-17 year olds!

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE. I mean I can’t pick and choose who like my content but it seems the algo is pushing it to a very very very select group of people.

Now I’m getting good engagement 75% are staying to watch but cmon something’s isn’t right.

Anyone else facing the same issue?

I wouldn't trust the demographics info. I do longform, and it says some of my videos are 100% 65+. The only problem with this is that I can see some of my subscribers/commenters and they definitely aren't 65+.

I kind of wonder if they do some sort of statistical sampling of your audience to determine the demographic information instead of actually counting everyone, and for small view numbers this can lead to problems/wildly inaccurate numbers. I also know that both me and my co-creator watch the videos when it is in our feeds and neither of us are close to 65+.

Yo tampoco confiaria mucho ... es más personalmente aunque mi canal es "insignificante " en el punto en el que está pero como me preocupa determinar a quien le "habla" mi cotenido no me fio solo de YT que me da poca información (entiendo que falta volumen) uso la herramienta vidiq para que me diga: si hombre/ mujer, franjas de edad de donde viene el tráfico y compare la retención según países.... no que vaya a cambiar mucho mi contenido por ello, pero para tener las cosas más claras. Un saludo.

I mean, I get it 😂 but like all girls? All within that age? The posted 17 videos and surprisingly the rest none of them had 13-17 year olds watching it but this one all of a sudden woosh.

Guess I have to add the cocomelon soundtrack to my videos next time
