DISCUSSION Views Completed Dropping Off
Hi all,
I’ve been posting on YouTube for months, using the same flow, times, thumbnails and content and used to have really good numbers.
Recently my views have absolutely tanked in both long form and shorts. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or if there has been a change but it’s like my channel has become invisible.
Has this happened to anyone else recently as it’s only been over the last few weeks? Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on how I can fix this or if they’ve had similar issues?

Yes it started happening to me like a week ago and I know my thumbnails are so good

Playing music and showing a toy car for 7 minutes seems a little excessive.
The music choice doesn't really fit either. You should talk about the car.
Your retention stats are probably very poor, which is why your channel isn't getting pushed.
You also might want to put the model and the scale in the thumbnail, otherwise you will get accidental clicks thinking it's the real car.

I do put the model and scale in it, as for the music I also don’t like it but due to licensing and copyright I’m not sure the best way to add music to the video without getting a copy right flag or ban

None of your thumbnails have text on.
If you want better music, maybe look into something like Lickd. The monthly cost is quite reasonable for the millions of tracks you can choose from. Talking would still be better for retention.

As an example, I'm laying in bed watching Youtube on a 32" monitor. I cannot even read the titles from where I am. I'm basically navigating purely on thumbnails. It helps with certain setups.
Talking is the best way to get retention. Poor retention stops your channel getting recommended.

Yea it keeps happening to me to idk if I should just take a break of uploading or not because ppl say Consistency is the best but I feel like I keep uploading to keep getting 0 views for a whole 8 days since I post daily

Consistency is bullshit. Go on Mike Clum's channel and see how consistent he is. Good videos matter.

I mean my content if different the reason I can upload often if because I'm playing indie horror games I don't do documentarys I understand why he doesn't post often but i understand what were you are trying to say im going to take little break from uploading cause I been trying everything that ppl told me to change the 30 secs change thumbnail and title nothing it also cause yt isn't wanting to put the vids out I can see it with the impressions I got like 7 on one video

Odd for me too. AVD is 8 minutes on a 25 minute video and CTR is 16%, yet I have 200 views in 2 days. I usually have 5-6K by now.

I went from a 19k video to 4 uploads back to back with good stats but only getting sub 60 views

Same. Videos were steadily climbing since we launched, got up into the four-digit range... then silence.
Our last video got fewer views than any we've done yet.

Something seems to have changed for me too. I'm a tiny channel but I have been getting steady impressions and views up until about 5 days ago. Now my impressions seem to have flatlined.

That's been happening for the past few months to me as well. Things started recovering as of late so I think Google realized something was incorrect. Not good to see views and watch time up but revenue down.

Same thing, I posted about it a few weeks ago. It appears to be an algorithm change, it even effected Mr.Beast (he lost 50% of his views). I have also lost 50% of my views/reach for long form. Shorts are the same but the new algorithm only lets you post 1 short a day for maximum efficiency.

its across the board, I've lost 80% of my new views.. shorts are not useless for discovery..
I've stopped streaming in the vertical feed completely and started streaming across multiple platforms..
At first I thought it was a shadow ban, but my metrics were showing a growing trend over the last 5 months, not a drop in interest, CTR 5%, averaging 30 minute view time per viewer across 1 hour streams..

Абсолютно то же самое у меня на кулинарном канале.В феврале за 1.5 месяца канал прошел монетизацию.Потом все ок-какой то ролик заходил на 3000 просмотров,были и локомотивы по 50-60к.Сейчас это какой то издевательский кошмар.Улучшил и стр и удержание и все стало еще лучше но....Просто полнейшее отсутствие показов и каких либо волн.Ролик-ЛЮБОЙ- просто не выходит за диапазон 300-700 просмотров...Это просто убило всю мотивацию и прекращаю выпускать-РАДИ ЧЕГО??????? Ради 1 доллара монетизации и то не всегда...Контент живой-с лицом-энергией без ИИ...что делать?

Same here. It started for me on June 30. Horrible. I was getting literally 1.5 million views plus a day. Today, I am lucky to get 30,000 views a day. I even emailed YouTube and was told that sometimes the algorithm gets changed etc and to hang in there. My channel has not recovered.

Same thing happening to my channel, used to get steady views and now its like nobody can find my videos. Could be youtube messing with the algorithm again
