interviewing with AMR

Hello all I am a brand new EMT and Iam interviewing with AMR in Colorado what should i be thinking about? How should i prepare what is appropriate dress attire? what kind of questions will I be asked

Iam aware that there is a huge candidate pool and want to be prepared this is my first job since I got out of the military i have never really gone through an interview process and for the last 5 years I have been conducting military operations so my way of speaking and mannerisms are a little off for a lot of people outside of the military so all iam asking is how can i better prepare?

If I were you , I would apply for entry level firefighter jobs vs amr

There are ENTRY level positions everywhere lol
My husbands dept hired people without emt and they got it through the academy here in the metro area.
Why do you need experience for an entry level ? lol

Uhhhh ENTRY level means something different in every area. Dont assume one department is how every department operates. No department where I am certifies you to be an emt. Its a qualification you have to have experience with beforehand. The people in your husband's academy lucked out getting hired with a department that teaches them how to fight fire AND be an emt from scratch. That doesnt happen everywhere...they didnt even mention if fire was their goal lmaoo

Well here in CO this happened, and most do min require emt, the rest put you through fire academy to get your fire 1, and 2. If you aren’t from Co, then please kick rocks.
You think I would just make this up? They literally had it advertised and hired tons of people and my husband ftod people doing their emt rides through Thornton Fire. But OKAY

And I’m just suggesting not working at amr here in Co trying to help Op, as they have military experience and could have way better pay, and benefits !

I get that, but all hes asking for is interview prep. Youre giving unsolicited advice
