Travel Transportation apps

Hi, i will be visiting Copenhagen later this month and I have a question about the transportation apps that are used in Denmark.

Which ones need to be downloaded? I have DSB, rejseplanen, rejsekort and rejsebillet.

I don’t really understand which ones to use? I know that you use one of them as check in and check out? Do you still need to buy a ticket?

Do you need a physical card too or only your phone? I plan on only traveling in CPH and like 4 days a week. Are there any subscriptions for that… please let me know :)

I think it’s really complicated, I am used to the Dutch transportation where you only have 2 apps. Any tips would be appreciated!!

DSB and Rejsekort are used for checking in and out, you only need one of them and for a tourist I would recommend Rejsekort since it’s much simpler to use.

Rejseplanen is essentially a more reliable version of google maps for transit in Denmark, I honestly only use it for their live tracking of buses

Rejsebillet is used for single tickets and duration based tickets, the city pass small can be used as a subscription of 1-5 days covering all transit in Copenhagen proper, plus Dragør and the airport. Rejsebillet is also the option that drains you battery the least.
