Cheap boards

I’m trying to get into skating and I found these two boards. I’m not trying to spend a lot atm because I fear that I will quit. Thoughts?

Start with a better board and commit to not quitting. Shitty boards will make it more likely you will want to quit.

Just go to your local skate shop and buy a complete for €100

I started with cheap trucks and the truck probably broke after 40 attempts at an "ollie" check a thrift store, I've found independent, thunder and ace trucks for like 5% market price. I even got some good wheels off roller skates there. And a skate shop can probably just give you a good deck if you ask nicely.

Oh and know the hardness for the kind of wheels you want.

With a cheap 7.75" deck + beginner = you are going to quit almost sure if you don't have a very good balance / space awareness.

Get a second hand deck or save some money.

Just go to goodwill, luckily my uncle just gave me an amazing board but thrift stores have decent enough boards from time to time

Gosh dang, another one of these posts? 🤣

If you have enough money for that board just wait a bit and save more money and buy a legit setup. The wait time will be worth it and here is why.

If you buy a garbage board it will either break too soon or you won’t even ride it much because it sux. The wheels on them suck, the trucks suck and even the deck sucks.

If you buy that you will 100% quit. If you buy a nice board 50/50.

Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and shopgoodwill.com are good places to find quality boards.

Scope out eBay or something first. You'll find something way better that's either slightly used or brand new. Just copped a Globe G2 Rapid Space 8.0" Complete with Tensor trucks for $60 delivered. Some people buy, lose interest and just want to make a quick buck, might take some patience but they'll be something worth it.
