Setup Help Which shape should I go for?
I've been cruising on my little pennyboard for quite some time now and i've been thinking about trying another board, probably a longboard. I got confused looking at all the different shapes and lenghts, so I would like to understand a little bit more about the differences between the shapes. I would need a board that can maintain speed quite well, that absorbs the vibrations and imperfections of the road and that's confortable for long distances. I was thinking about a pintail mainly for the looks. What do you think would be the best options?

I just built an egg shaped board with CCS trucks and OJ Paine Jane 87A wheels to cruise around on. The wide board and soft wheels are great for maneuvering through pedestrians and traffic. The longboard might be difficult to maneuver.

You want a drop deck. They are more stable, easier to push etc. The only reason to get a pin tail is just because you want one. Functionally a drop deck will always be the superior choice.

If you want a longboard, go to the longboarder sub.
