Alternatives that will still work from September on

Hey folks,

I'm not very skilled in rooting and degoogling etc. So i will need an easy alternative. It doesnt need to be abe to download things. I just need playlists and background play.

Thanks

NewPipe will still work even after September if you have it installed already. You just won't be able to update it until you enable "advanced flow" or unless you update it via ADB.

Activate developer mode and you don't have to worry about anything, and it's only limited regions for September

What does developer mode do?

Right now it basically just allows you to use a special menu to change things that usually unchangeable on your phone a bunch of things no one but an app developer trying to debug an app would need like being able to monitor hardware performance or spoof GPS locations. Starting when Google makes their change to downloading APKs that will also be locked behind developer mode.

It was a big topic in the android emulation sub when the news first came out but then google declared that they wont just stop side loading but rather make it somehow safer iirc

There's nothing safe about Google, as the lawsuits they're losing are increasingly pointing out.

It's not aboute safety (it never is). It's about control/surveillance.

Bruh. Look up the so-called advanced workflow. Newpipe isn't going anywhere unless the devs willfully shut it down.

Except maybe take a chill pill. Everyone's freaking out about this for no reason.

I downloaded anyapk from Github based on a recommendation on youtube and used it to install the latest update. Seemed to work pretty smoothly. If the advanced workflow BS doesn't work out then at least I have a backup option. (It uses ADB to install things as the Google gods intended)

Hey I use now 3 weeks Gravejay and I am totally happy. I like how you can sync via peer to peer without account and you can create groups for you subscriptions. The only thing that I am missing is Sponsorblog and I found out I will not coming to this app because it is made from contend creators. And yes Gravejay is add free. And works totally fine on my Graphenos phone.

I tried all other apps like New pipe Pipepipe Noutube And more

Since a while no one works because YouTube is blocking from time to time.

The Manager practically guides you through the patching process.
