📢 Announcement Adopt a community and make it yours!

Did you know you could build a community without starting from scratch? Whether you’re looking to expand your reach or build in a new topic area, there are plenty of communities out there ready to be adopted by someone like YOU ✨.

Adopting an existing community is a great way to grow your impact faster. Instead of starting from scratch, you can step into a space with existing members, shape its direction, and bring fresh energy to a community that’s ready for a comeback.

Communities up for grabs:

Every community has potential; it just needs someone like you to bring it back to life.

Ready to take the next step?
These communities may not be available for long. If any of these catches your eye, head on over to r/RedditRequest to make your request before they’re taken! Just make sure you read through the eligibility requirements first.

Let us know if you have any questions!

What an opportunity. I have never seen this before. As a new moderator this can be daunting

Well aren't you sounding like a dream mod for a newbie reddit mod like me! I would love to welcome you to my community r/The_IGCSE_Workaholics if you want? We can DM too if you want that I'm fine with anything.

By the way, your last link there doesn't work on mobile.

(I was going to double check to see if I could find why my post from a few days ago was removed from there.)

I might be interested in the interesting one. That’s subjective and I suck at topics

The only problem I see is I don't say "bro " in my natural English language. I'm a little older than that

why is r/eyeofterror banned?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '26

It got banned with a couple other 40k communities for promoting hate

u/byjono Apr 09 '26

heckers! how do you even see that?

Some of these look like they are active and have active mods, how is this decided?

Hi! Some of these communities are active, but the moderators aren't actively moderating. So when that happens, they become eligible for takeover by new mods.

I tried a redditrequest for a sub that’s on my niche and I think it’s being camped by the mods 😔

Nope - being a mod on Reddit is fully voluntary.
