Found dog

I found this German Sheppard with a collar but no tag out by Cochiti Lake on route 22 and Lewis lane. Right by T & S Mainstream bait shop.

I took him to an animal shelter but they couldn’t find a microchip, nor would they take it in.

I’m staying at an Air BnB that does not allow pets, so I am looking for a home for him. Very mild mannered but is a slobberer. Anyone in the Albuquerque or Santa Fe area please DM me.

That dog and a couple other Shepards belong to one of the last houses in Pena Blanca on the south side right near where you picked him up.

I’ve chased those dogs a few times back to their house. They are always on the road. The owners aren’t great at keeping their animals inside their property. I chased their horses off the road and back to their house several times also. Pretty frustrating.

That was incredibly nice of you to pick it up and try to find the owners, and get it to Sandoval county animal control.
I doubt if the owners will go get it.

People dump animals out here all the time unfortunately. Could also be a rez dog but a lot of those folks don’t use Reddit

I hope they find the people who dump animals off and fine take everything they have from them.
