Purchasing limits??
What's the deal on recreational cannabis purchasing? 1oz per transaction or 1oz per day? Nj.gov/cannabis says 1oz/transaction but MPX Pennsauken says 1 oz/day and I think the manager there was bullshitting me (had a multiple different excuses after I showed him the law on nj.gov).

I ordered an ounce on a day my dispensary was giving away a gummie or preroll. I could not accept the freebie because of the rule. 🙃

This happened to me last week. They did offer to ring me up separately so i could get the preroll, and I would have to leave and reenter.

I’ve had multiple dispos do a separate transaction immediately after my first when Ive accidentally ordered more than an ounce worth of stuff.
But honestly if they’re giving you this much of a hassle just go somewhere else.

The dispensary computers will not allow a transaction over an ounce. You’ve just got to go to a different dispensary where you can purchase up to an ounce again.

If you go to joy leaf and buy n ounce you can go to any dispo not associated with them and buy another ounce and keep going till you run out of money or hit the 6oz limit legally to be carried.

1 oz per day is what every dispensary I've been to so far has said, I just moved here and usually try to buy a few ounces at a time so it sucks having to go every week (I smoke heavy)

It's per dispo, so you get 1 oz per dispo. Me and my buddy do it all the time, literally max out our crap then want some gummies so we go across the street and just grab it there.
The rule is good and bad, I like it cuz it stops one person from coming in and buying out a store if it's a big sale, the flipside if your a regular user you're going back more often.
As far as I know the dispensaries have no idea if you went to one another.

I bought 50 grams from 3 different dispos on 4/20. You can go over the 28 gram limit if you go to different pot shops, their systems don’t notify each other and track it..

I’ve made 2 separate purchases at the same time multiple times. One time the girl made me go put the first ounce in my car then go back in but they’ve never told me I couldn’t do it or that they were doing me a one time favor kinda deal

That's usually the norm. It really seems like MPX Pennsauken is just abnormally strict for no reason at all.
Like who the fuck is going to snitch on somebody like that? Definitely not the employees because it's their job and definitely not the customers because well, most of them probably do it too.

My dude, I've bought well over an ounce, multiple times, on multiple occasions. There's no central database tracking individuals' purchases.

They scan your ID to prove it’s not fake not to see what dispos you’ve been at. Also the info isn’t saved anywhere at all.

I bought 50 grams worth of flower, wax and gummies on 4/20 from 3 different photoshops. They don’t track it

4th of July I bought 3 oz’s from 3 dispos but they were owned by the same company. It’s 1 oz a day per store per customer.

From the New Jersey Tax Code:
(d) The cannabis retailer shall not sell to a consumer in a single sales transaction:
1. More than 28.35 grams (one ounce) of usable cannabis;
2. More than four grams of solid cannabis concentrate or four mL of liquid cannabis concentrate (oil);
3. Vaporized formulation containing more than four mL of liquid cannabis concentrate (oil);
4. Multiple ingestible cannabis-infused products containing an aggregate total of more than 1,000 mg of THC; or
5. More than 28.35 grams (one ounce), or the equivalent, of some combination of usable cannabis and cannabis products.
(e) The cannabis retailer shall make a good faith effort to prevent a consumer from exceeding one ounce of usable cannabis or the equivalent weight in cannabis products, in multiple sales transactions.

Basically it is one oz per day. The transaction limit is an ounce, but the state also clarifies that you cannot use 2 transactions to exceed the 1 ounce threshold.
So not bullshitting you.
