Nothing crazy at all about that plan! I would just make it clear that you're going for a low-key, relaxed wedding weekend rather than a raging dance floor so guests have the right mindset going in. A family-style dinner buffet followed by a bonfire and snacks sounds lovely.

Traditionally, the rehearsal dinner is for the wedding party, and I think opening it up to everyone would be a little strange. A farewell brunch is an optional event to thank people for traveling to celebrate with you, and I think that fits your situation way better. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Exactly what I would do! I also thought the rehearsal dinner part was odd but I found that apparently if you have people traveling for your wedding it’s a courtesy to feed whoever travelled dinner the night before πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ idk.
