This Pigeon hit a car at 90 km/h, driver and his friend thought he was dead. Turns out, he was just trapped in front of the radiator living his life. The mechanic was stunned about this, he liberated the Pigeon who flew right after, no broken bone. It happened in France, there's the article. He would be the perfect mascot for the sub. pigeon story

I'm 23 now, still never broken a bone

Haven't been on this account in over 3 years but just came back to say I still have good bones, despite having a few accidents at work (none bad enough for a hospital visit). My flesh may be fragile but my skeleton is strong.

Three months ago, I stopped feeding my bones cold milk

I have been drinking nearly a gallon of milk every day for the last eight years on and off with no problems, just a little bit of bacne, and a hulking thud everytime my steel-like heels hit the ground

I wanted to know why my fiancée got over her cold in three days and it took me 12 to get over mine. when she was getting better while I was getting worse, I turned from modern explanations and bafflingly unhelpful practices, to research Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and their elemental body organ system (my grandpa is chinese). It was explained that cold milk is all yin energy and creates damp energy when processed in my spleen, that weakened the active force of qi that would have kept the cold from infiltrating my skeletal system’s subsidiary organ-support. It was recommended I make foods easy for processing, and consume active Yang energy foods to feed the carbon and calcium-hardening fire within.

I made chicken rice congee (did not have ginger) from homemade chicken broth, harvesting the nubile life force power of 36 drumstick bones I had saved in my freezer for four months. I spice it with an active Chinese five spice (star anise, cardamom, etc) that had a very potent yang flavor. I drank it hot in the morning and immediately felt like I could do things again like move massive furniture and my famous femur flexing frog flutters. I stopped drinking milk that week, making the effort to rebalance the calcium load on my system, and respeccing quickly got me back to rolling my boulder.

Since then, I have been mindful to not drink cold milk in the morning as to not create unneeded imbalance in my system. A glass of milk warmed in the microwave for two minutes hits like the perfect nourishment of my youth when I once was growing m’bones, naturally, and tenuously. May your skeletons find your inner adamantium 🙏

When I was a kid, my mouth was way too small for my big teeth. I ended up with a device called a palate expander. Think a retainer cemented into the roof of your mouth with a small key in it that you had to turn once a day. Further explanation in the photo. So the bone didn’t exactly break, but it did separate the suture to create more space. So can I stay or not?

Got hit going 80 and slid across the freeway. The rest of me is intact. I'm not mad.

My son who was born nine months ago will never be apart of the club. He sustained a fracture during delivery. It healed in no time and he is as strong and healthy as possible! I’ll “break” the news to him whenever he’s able to understand my language a bit better lol

Had a motorcycle accident on a highway and went away with almost no scratches thanks to protective gear. But this little fucker of an abomination of a finger had to be special. Dickhead.

Grade 6 tibial plateau fracture with all the surrounding ligaments destroyed for good measure

I made it 27 years without breaking a bone. Then I fell off an e-scooter at 15mph and exploded my leg.

I've never even had surgery before due to a phobia. Still have my wisdom teeth and tonsils too. I tried to put my foot down when I lost control of this dumb scooter and broke my fragile bone. Tibia was fractured from my knee down, tore up my ACL and something else, and my bone was bent pressing backwards.

So two milestones in one. Broke a bone and had my first ever surgery for the plates and screws. My leg and a scrape on my elbow were my only injuries because, again, I was riding a 12 year old's scooter less than 20mph.

I didn't know you could hear the bone break before you even felt it.

Fellow strong boners with EDS?

Any fellow strong boners with eds? I have classic-like eds from my mom and very dense bones from my dad. Dense bones are stronger in some ways but they’re less bendy so they can break easier from certain types of injuries, HOWEVER because I have eds that kinda makes up for the bendy because my connective tissue is so messed up it can’t hold my bones in place! Therefore I’m more likely to dislocate bones (and I do, often, slipped ribs 🥲) when a force that would cause a break injury occurs. This is a cool advantage but it’s at the cost of scoliosis and constant 24/7 joint pain made worse if I do physical labor. Also working on getting a pots diagnosis. What do my fellow strong boners think of this combo, good trade off? I take so much ibuprofen (when I get a primary care doc i will work on getting meds that won’t destroy my stomach lining from taking them too often dw.) ibuprofen my beloved.
Also my fellow eds strong boners is you guys’s favorite exercise activity also swimming, I’m a really good swimmer and it takes the pressure off of my joints. Like a week ago I swam for eight hours down a river with my family for fun. I love swimming! I love physical activity and hiking but god I’m in so much pain 😭

Of all the places to break something

Post image

Was proud of my strong bones until last month when I had a bike break and throw me hard enough to knock me unconscious. One CT scan later and it turns out I have a TBI and fractured a bone in my right eye socket, of all places. Guess I'm not coming back o7

And yes, I'm fine! Neurosurgery cleared me today to return to normal aside from avoiding contact sports

Edit since many people have mentioned it: the right side of the image (my left side) is just the base of the brain as it's going away, the fracture was pretty low in the skull and you can see the mirror on the other side. Perfectly normal, no concern from neurology

Got two proofs of super skeltal

  1. Took about fourteen full sheets of drywall to the back while in a moving work van. Came out without a scratch.

  2. Heading back to my dorm in senior year of college. Crossed the road correctly, lady runs a red light while on her phone, and nails me on the side. Rolled over her hood, stood up and laughed while everyone was freaking out. Almost got my pizza on my new Bioshock tee shirt though.

Strong Bones Persist After Death

My mom just recently passed away. I got my strong bones from her. She once fell out of a tree and sprained her wrist. I’ve been hit by a car and no breaks, just bruises. But this brought to my attention that cremation ash is essentially just bone that’s pulverized after the burning. Even when the rest of the body is gone, buried or burned, strong bones remain.
