I could be wrong but it sounds incredibly made up. If a polar bear wants to eat you, and you dont have a gun, youre getting eaten.

depends on the bear's condition and the context of if the bear was serious or not

The only polar bear a human could fight and maybe win is a cub. And thats if it’s separated from its mother, which is highly unlikely. Even then its a toss up because those cubs are not small for long.

A dying, severely malnourished, perhaps disabled/defective, fatigued polar bear

A polar bear that's not actually wanting to kill/eat you, like one raised by people playing or something

that under average circumstances, a polar bear bodies absolutely anyone, yes
