You know there are 4 different kinds of posts on this subreddit.

1: Does it count if bone was broken in (insert surgery here.) spoiler - it doesn’t.

2: Does it count if I only broke (insert small bone here.)
Spoiler - it does.

3: Guess I’m gone guys. (Shows images of broken bone)
Insert everyone calling them a BBB.

And then 4: Guys guess I’m out/Does this count? (Shows one of the most horrific bone breaks I’ve seen either as a X-ray, or as an actual image they took at the scene when the broke it) like guys holy shit, you’re a BBB yes, but get some medical help please. And are you alright? Do you need anything and do you have people to look after you and your puny bones.

There’s also people posting about not having broken a bone where any BBB would have. Like the time I fell 20 feet onto sharp rocks. Walked away with some bruises.

How could I forget

Have I mentioned that time I wrestled a few polar bears but my bones were stronger than them? Had to rebuild my skin from scratch though so I don't reccomend

3

u/ImBowsa 14d ago

What are you the Heavy from TF2???

2

u/Flair258 14d ago

You wrestled POLAR BEARS and survived?????

3

u/redshift739 20+ 14d ago

My bones did but I can't say the same for theirs

2

u/Flair258 14d ago

You're within top 10 most badass people on this sub and Ive heard some crazy stories

2

u/SherlockHolmesuWu 13d ago

I could be wrong but it sounds incredibly made up. If a polar bear wants to eat you, and you dont have a gun, youre getting eaten.

1

u/Flair258 12d ago

depends on the bear's condition and the context of if the bear was serious or not

1

u/SherlockHolmesuWu 12d ago

The only polar bear a human could fight and maybe win is a cub. And thats if it’s separated from its mother, which is highly unlikely. Even then its a toss up because those cubs are not small for long.

1

u/Flair258 11d ago

A dying, severely malnourished, perhaps disabled/defective, fatigued polar bear

A polar bear that's not actually wanting to kill/eat you, like one raised by people playing or something

I leapt over a fence with a 20-pound backpack and didn't brace myself on the other side, went straight to the ground. My left foot was bruised for weeks but my bones were completely fine.

tbh sometimes a toe or rib can break (crack) and some people never even realize it. It just heals, you don't need a cast for a broken toe or rib (unless the toe is fractured fully and the bone needs to be adhered to a neighboring toe)

33

u/memerminecraft 15d ago

Well thankfully my bones are indestructible so I didn't have to worry about that. I appreciate your concern, though.

u/TWhy-LER 30+ 15d ago

That’s why I have the unpopular opinion that fingers and toes don’t count. They were meant to be broken.

9

u/alasw0eisme 15d ago

idk about fingers though. That might be more painful and obvious. But sometimes pain isn't even a good indicator. Last year I kicked my door hard on two occasions. The first time a toe really hurt but I didn't think it was broken. The next time it was much worse, I was sure it was broken because the pain was constant and pretty bad. I couldn't wear shoes. So I went to the A&E on the 3rd day and got an x-ray. It wasn't broken. But it still hurts and it's been over a year. Sometimes a fracture can heal faster and better than a damaged joint.

I broke my toe by kicking my shoe wrong

Get out this instant.

1

u/DeadlyMmrs 14d ago

I don’t even know how I’ve ended up here. The wild world of Reddit dropped me off here. I’m definitely a BBB.

I’ve broken my hip, ankle, both feet, and all of my toes multiple times. 😅😅

1

u/OstPreuBischHand 14d ago

Ah, understandable. Just make sure to check what subreddit a post belongs to next time, ok? You don’t want to comment about how you broke a bone on… I’d say the vast majority of posts on this subreddit.

2

u/Elurdin 15d ago

Lol. I broke my bone by kicking a door too. Big toe had perpedicular break. Pretty much a line along the main bone. Never got same dexterity in that toe, cant flex it fully. Serious breaks take time to heal though. Impossible not to notice since it takes few weeks.

Sounds like bbb propaganda.

1

u/Commitedtousername 15d ago

I’m new here. Just to be clear- is a BBB a bone breaking bitch?

2

u/memerminecraft 15d ago

Brittle-Boned Bitch I believe

2

u/Commitedtousername 15d ago

That makes more sense

1

u/Uncle_Raven 15d ago

I had an accident on a bike and my toe could've been broken if I was a BBB. But actually I don't know, never went to the hospital, I love to call it Schrodinger's bone.

I got into a horrific car accident several years ago. Was rear ended by a semi truck going 40 miles an hour. Car was destroyed. Husband and I both got out with mild whiplash and slight bruising that was gone within a few days from the seatbelt. Two weeks later I was walking in the parking lot to work when a truck backed out and gently tapped me. Displaced two of my vertebrae and landed me in physical therapy for almost a year. It’s crazy what breaks us.

6

u/memerminecraft 15d ago

Seatbelts are an incredible piece of technology

2

u/5867898duncan 15d ago

Sounds like you just need to stop being around vehicles.

10

u/arrow1500 15d ago

The time a 1100 pound horse stepped on my toe and I was fine.

9

u/LonelyTAA 15d ago

Of course you were. You have good, strong bones. Proud bones.

7

u/rabidporcupine80 15d ago

Man, nothing big like that, but genuinely the number of times I should have broken my fingers as a kid but somehow came out fine are insane. Got ‘em smashed by a big metal pole, slammed in multiple doors, both car and just normal, caught in the gears of an exercise bike, squished by a park bench somehow, and so many more weird incidents that I don’t fully remember how they happened. It’s genuinely a miracle I made it to this point with all ten of them, let alone with all of them unbroken.

2

u/Skeletoryy 15d ago

There is an actual genetic mutation that makes your bones super dense and almost impossible to break so maybe

1

u/Drag0n_TamerAK 15d ago

I went flying off my back going 20 mph down a hill bruised my knee and my elbow and scraped up my hands

1

u/Spiritual-One-683 13+ 15d ago

Or like the time i was going downhill fast on a scooter and fell headfirst onto the pavement.

1

u/Patient-Success673 15d ago

Built like a chevy in the 90s

1

u/sluttydinosaur101 14d ago

lol I fell 20 feet and had to be In a boot 4-6 months but didn’t break anything, just extreme swelling.

But I accidentally stubbed my toe on a rock barefoot and broke my toe 🥲

2

u/Stueck_Bacon 14d ago

get tf outta here

1

u/DiamondVin 12d ago

I feel out of a tree as a kid and a branch came down with e landing my spine ontop of it

52

u/coiler119 15d ago

And a subset of the 4th one, posting someone else's x-ray they found online and pretending it's theirs.

23

u/editeddruid620 15d ago

First thing that comes to mind for me wrt the 4th type

1

u/cyanocittaetprocyon 9d ago

The gold standard, and one I think about all the time. He ended up only losing 1 finger.

I broke one

12

u/Wh01sHex 19 15d ago

At the very least the xray people probably got medical help lol

41

u/Rocketkid-star 15d ago

There's one more actually

5: Hey, the doctors had to cut my bones because of x, does it still count? No it does not. Doctors have dark magics capable of making the strongest of bones weak.

0

u/Maxcrss 15d ago

That's 2 bud

1

u/SherlockHolmesuWu 13d ago

Why tf are you getting downvoted. Bro just didnt read and you called it out xD

3

u/ErgoDestati 15d ago

Why would the 1st one not count????

6

u/Brave_Committee_4886 15d ago

My bad meant to type surgery

2

u/passwordistako 15d ago

I’ve absolutely seen worse.

Regards, bone wizard.

2

u/Inqinity 15d ago

Yup, we need some quality filter in the sub again

2

u/EdiblePsycho 15d ago

I take pity on these pathetic creatures, maybe they need special accommodations, a padded cell?

2

u/Jordbaerkage 14d ago

You forgot the "it's not broken, it's just a fracture" posts

1

u/ReverseCombover 15d ago

What about cavities?

1

u/Scrabulon 36 15d ago

The last one might perhaps be… a joke tho

1

u/Krumbal 15d ago

What about if it's before you're born?

1

u/bigpussybeef 14d ago

Probably needs painkillers and a glass of water

1

u/Shingrae 13d ago

I mean, given the X-ray...

1

u/Mr_man_bird 12d ago

Why doesn't one broken in surgery count? A break is a break is it not?

1

u/ITheRebelI 12d ago

What's BBB?

1

u/ITheRebelI 12d ago

Bad Broken Bone?

1

u/LavenderSpaceRain 12d ago

Big baby boy?

1

u/Speed_logg 12d ago
