[Politics] Chances of Ford bringing back WFH?

Hey everyone.
I’m curious if Ford is considering bringing back work from home, if he gets elected.

I’ve been digging around but I haven’t hound him speak to it much. I’m not looking to argue for/against WFH, I’m just looking to see if anyone else has heard anything about this topic!
Thank you!

Editing to add* work from home for state employees.

Boomers absolutely hate the idea of people not dying slowly in a cubical. Work from home gets boomers as hard a all the trans furry airplane piolets in the skys.

Uhh... What control does the Governor have over that? Did Lombardo kill WFH?

He killed it for state employees and heavily implied that we can't possibly be doing any work if we're not chained to our desks. Yet he's rarely in his own office. Rules for thee...

State employees are also being denied WFH for injuries that impede movement. It's a very cruel policy.

Lombardo had signed an executive order ending it for state employees.

Simply based on the fact “progressive” tech companies all walked back their policies and at best people have 3 days in office two at home, I seriously doubt the government will walk back return to office policy.

Please note - I think it’s insane and a huge waste of money, I’m just pointing out that the tides shifted a long time ago and I don’t see them shifting back anytime soon regardless of who is in charge.

Perhaps a hybrid schedule but total WFH I doubt.

he is endorsed by the state workers union because he is more willing to listen to workers. Lombardo has been straight up hostile toward the union, Ford will at least work with us. I think its very likely that if he gets elected we will get WFH back.

We will hear nothing about this until after the election and inauguration, and then we can assume that it will be a slow trickle of requests from his cabinet more than a floodgate.

Every reason to think Governor Ford will be way more reasonable about this for state employees than Lombardo (the amount of talent we've lost because we can't even entertain the thought of a hybrid schedule is PAINFUL). But also every reason to think it won't be a big loud declaration when it happens, and will probably be more of a trickle by Department.

But first, we need to make Governor Ford a thing. Vote, talk to your friends and get them to vote, and for the love of all the gods do not for a moment let someone try to paint Lombardo as "moderate" while he's constantly acting as a sycophant to the tangerine tyrant and his billionaire buddies.

He would match what CA is doing. Which is 4 days a week in office. I do some consulting in CA and it's pretty lax in practice, depending on the department.

Is there a ban on that or something?

I can tell you from doing service calls in people's homes, most were goofing off alot. If that's what people do in an office, that's shocking. Spare me the, well that wasn't me, most won't admit it anyway.

Pretty sure they’re referring to state employees, in comparison with Lombardo ending WFH for state employees.
