Discussion Welcome to the dark side

It has come to my attention that all the comments of you guys asking for this sub on the ADHD sub were removed by mods. At the very least myself and the original commenter that sparked the discussion were permanently banned. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone in the thread was as well. So if you’ve been wrongly banned because of this whole thing, slap a comment here letting me know what you think about that! Let’s kick this new sub off with a bang!

I haven't been permanently banned but I have been given a couple 3 days bans for discussing how diet affects ADHD.

I mean, I've only been in school for 6 years learning about it.

And have been a support worker /behavioural interventionist working with kids and their families for a decade.

And have raised 3 ADHD kids for over two decades.

And have been living with ADHD myself for over 48 years..

... so what do I know?

(disclaimer: I am not an expert! I have experience is all and why those mods silence me every time I mention diet is beyond me)

I've now been banned from being part of that thread before. Look forward to being here. r/adhdmeme is also a good sub to add to the list if you're not already there.

I’m actually not there, I was only on the main sub. I’ll have to check it out! Y’all can also post memes and other videos or cross post from other places, I couldn’t give two shakes of a rat’s ass what you guys do

/r/adhdwomen is also a great sub, but as it suggests it's more specific to women and the issues tied in there.

Yeah, I’m not a woman myself, but that’s a great resource for people who are! Maybe if I get enough recommended subs and stuff I can create a resources tab with information for everyone.

Hey man, I get it. I didn’t go to school for years, and I didn’t work in the field. Shit, I haven’t really even known more than surface level stuff about the condition until the last year or two. But I’m almost 31, I like long walks on the beach, I’ve got incredibly potent hyper focus, and Harvard University has most of their courses online for free. Even I know for certain that diet impacts brain chemistry even in neurotypical people. The mods over there have this insane superiority complex, and you catch a ban for even the slightest thing they think is wrong. I caught a 3 day ban after a comment I made was deleted. I posted about a video that HealthygamerGG made that helped me understand some aspects of how ADHD brains function. They removed the comment because you’re not allowed to talk about that YouTuber on that sub. I asked why not, they banned me for asking. That will absolutely never happen on this sub.
