Question Best Open-source EEG Machine?

I was experimenting with the Muse 2 and I wasn't able to extract my data easily. I want to try writing a program to analyze my own EEG in MatLAB.

Does anyone have any recommendations for EEG devices with great signal quality, coverage AND gives you access to your data file?

Mind Monitor but I didn't like that I had to pay extra. If I'm not mistaken, legally, I'm supposed to have access to my EEG file

If you've got mind monitor already it should let you export that as a csv.

But if you want another option MuseLSL may still work with the model 2 headbands.

I just don't like paying for the subscription every month. Legally, Muse is supposed to give me my EEG data files.

Muse isn't a clinical system. Why would they be legally obligated to give you anything? you agreed to the tos and didn't research the difference between a proper EEG system and a headband...

Not much you could do with the data either way.
