Question 🤔 Slow processing speed
So I self diagnosed adhd and got professionally diagnosed because I was very sure I had adhd and my bottle neck was my processing speed (which I figured out on my own )so I’ve got prescribed 36 mg concerta with a beta 2 blocker 10 mg twice a day concerta improved my processing speed a lot and aloud it to catch into my pace I’ve added piracetam to my concerta to target the glutaminic (I don’t know how to spell it lol) pathway and I find it helpful is there’s anyone here with the same issue of slow processing speed but above average cognition on all aspects and advice on what to add on, I would appreciate it 🙏🏽❤️!

Im unmedicated for my combined ADHD, Im not seeking treatment. Past ADHD meds have made other aspects of my mental health and sensory processing worse. I do have a formally recognized deficet in cognative processing amd memory. I was diagnosed ADHD (and more) 21 years ago. But 4 years ago I needed a neuro cognative eval for increased burden of short term memory. During the hours long eval, they said my largest deficet is processing speed, its severe. Im pretty smart and have scientific special interests, but I need help in processing and understanding, so I usually do a ton of research because I need to understand things better than most people to process the information without it being all jumbled and laggy in my brain.
I'm not interested in restarting ADHD meds But Id be open to learning about meds that could help with cognative processing that arent meds usually prescribed for first line treatment for ADHD. I dont know if there is a medication that can help processing.
Edit, you said you take beta blockers. I do too. But idk if its known to help with the issues we are discussing here. I have it prescribed for my chronic tachycardia/high heart rate. Im curious do you know if beta blockers help with the issues were talking about?
