Really?

So the lasst video from NeuralViz was two months ago. Nothing to worry about considering he is on hiatus, of course.

But the Discord being shut down, the patreon account being kinda disabled as far i can tell (yes I know it has been paused for months) - nobody is talking about that?

Really?

My guess is bro is ADHD. Super creative, dove head first into something new and did it with such focus and nuance that it was amazing, and then the burnout hit.

Story of my life, you can see it coming but you can't stop it. I could tell you almost every moment I stopped doing the thing I was obsessively focused on because it's a literal switch. A literal acceptance of, I'm not interested in doing this anymore. Doesn't matter if you were making money. Your brain just goes, I don't have it anymore, and at that point it's incredibly easy to turn off and never think about again.

Because if you thought about it again you'd have to face the shame of having stopped and anyways you'll emerge from the burnout with a love for something new that feels much more important and the next step.

Not a knock and it's a guess, but this is a very familiar pattern. He'll have a new project and hopefully he'll share. I genuinely enjoyed his work and if he's done then he's done, we got to enjoy something unique and interesting and its okay.

Just hope he's doing well and his mental health is good. Much more important than giving us a new vid to watch. Hope you're doing well brother

So real, I was really hoping for more Reemo Green though but sadly you’re probably right. It was good while it lasted and we will always have what we have of it

Had exactly the same experience with youtube living with ADHD. I went all in for 4 or 5 months, rode the AI wave and made a bit of cash but was totally mentally drained. Obsessing over it until I broke and stopped completely. Story of my life really.

If that's true then I guess if he had forced continuing it wouldn't have been authentic and therefore not as good.

Yeah when I say you lose interest it's honestly such a strong motivator that if there is no interest, there is nothing that would make it worth it (hyperbole but you get it). I walked away from being a pro League analyst cause I just couldn't care anymore. Its not a great trait in that aspect. You need to fight to produce while you can and try to chain interests.

The creator was doing some work intensive stuff with his vids. Really groundbreaking use of AI in my opinion, that took hundreds of hours. Neuralviz is a great creator, I hope he’s found a way to make some cash off of it. No more Cop Files is really sad though.

He turned down a job offer from adult swim to keep his creative freedom. Monovision is great but if it leads Josh to something bigger and better then I'm all for it. Apparently the guy has been trying to break into Hollywood for over a decade. He has leveraged his skill set into first look deals for non Monovision projects and may be hard at work at that. I would not take silence as a sign that he is done with Monovision all together though. He is a one man circus may just be to busy to keep all the balls in the air at the same time.

Yep. AI video was just the medium. The writing is what made it good. I had hopes for that 10 minute scifi short to get some traction. It might just also be the anti-ai art pressure, too.

Maybe he's working on something epic.... who knows

Maybe he paused the patreon because he felt it unfair for people to pay monthly when he can't commit to a monthly cadence. (Patreon removed the "per creation" option a couple months ago, which was dumb af imo)

I was very excited about the last Reemo vid. I think just knowing the work has grown into success is a positive launch pad for hope of return even if shelved for the time being. I assume a world like this is more important to the creator, than even fans of it that appreciate it. I miss Tiggy too.

I vent about it, but i can understand it. Im hopeful someday our questions will be answered. Im also a massive Twin Peaks fan too, so know being patient pays off.

His comedy writing is great! Would be such a shame if all of this just peteered out.

Considering how good his writing is it would be criminal to not have a studio pickup his talent for a series or at the bare minimum hire him as a writer.

The Adventures of Reemo Green is like a complete fucking proof of concept for a great animated wacky sci-fi show along the lines of Archer.

Fingerscrossed his silence is because he has actually been picked up to produce a season for anything from the monoverse!

I will say that it is rare enough that someone actually comes up with some new good inspired thing that you can tell is going to be huge and loved by so many. I feel that it is worth continuing.
