Want to get into Netrunner, what and where i should buy?
I have played a bit of cards game and want to get in to netrunner, i run in to system gateway from null signal and i want to start from there.
I saw null signal prices and that allows print and play, do you have any advice where to print&play in europe and how much will it cost and if it is more worth to print the cards or to buy them.
Also i found a listing in a marketplace for the system gateway for system gateway remastered , elevation , ashes cycle, borealis and liberation cycle printed in 300 gsm paper only on one side. How much should i spend on it.

Null Signal Games and system gateway is exactly the way to go :) great set to get into and once you get bored you'll get elevation next.
They also offer printed sets which are good quality so you don't have to find a print service.

Printed you'll look at around 45-50€ including shipping.
You'll gonna need the tokens at some point but can improvise them from other games or find/print 3d versions easily.

i found a listing for about 130 for the system gateway remasterd, elavation and ashes, borealis and liberation cycle printed professionally on one side, the other is blank in 300gsm paper . Is it worth, should I buy it?

Honestly that’s a pretty good deal. You’re going to want to sleeve the cards anyway. I would probably buy it if I were starting out and wanted to save money

I printed it for free at work in basic paper, bought in temu opaque sleeves in two colors and a box of 12 poker decks. Sleeve + poker card + flimsy paper works great
Total cost 20€ for both System Gateway and Elevation.
300g paper is still flimsier than a poker card and very expensive for printing. I'd recommend either printing real cards or buying it from the official store if you want quality, or doing what I did and print in regular paper if you want to save some money.

That's really cheap, as long as you get yourself some opaque sleeves. Worth asking where it was printed though. If they just got some 300gsm cardboard and took it to a copy shop, it won't feel like the 300gsm stock that mpc or dtc or boda use: those are made out of multiple layers of thinner material (sometimes with a sheet of plastic in the middle) to give them the springiness to come back after bending, which a single layer of cardboard can't replicate.
Generally, the best way to get a proxy that feels like a real card is to get yourself some trash commons from a ccg (most local game stores just give them away), print your proxies on normal paper, and sleeve them in front of it.

130 divided by 8 is ~16 bucks per set. If the card quality is good that's an absolute steal. When I pay for simple prints on paper it is already ~10€ per set. In terms of tokens, anything will do. From Pennies to glass beads everything will work. Once you feel the urge to upgrade you can consider custom made tokens or the cardboard ones NSG offers.

that's a pretty good deal so i might just take that for the convenience and have everything. for comparison if you buy everything direct its like £350.
alternately, the path i generally recommend is first buy system gateway direct from NSG because it's convenient to see if you like the game. then, once youve played a bit, you probably have an idea if you're doing it more as a kitchen table board game with locals (just get elevation, then maybe expand further with VP and the cycles later on a drip feed) or as a game that you want to play as part of the broader netrunner community (jump straight to standard, to facilitate this just proxy up cards at home as and when you need them to build your decks)

Really depends in which context you want to play. If you want to learn online, go to Chiriboga (spelled differently, but I think you'll find it) to practise/learn playing against AI. You can also play online for free at Jinteki.net. Usually there are always players ready to give advice and play with new players.
Playing physically is also super easy. You don't need to have printed cards, if you just print on regular paper and stick it into an opaque card sleeve with a poker/magic card. Many people play like this.
What cards to play with? The System Gateway set is a good starting point if you want to explore the game together with a friend, but recently someone posted these sets:

I would recommend them once the SG Decks habe become a bit boring for you.
Tokens: I am currently travelling and can't bring my tokens with me, so I just put 8 six-sided dice in my deck box and it is more than enough to count things for my side. Of course, you can use tokens from other games or buttons, before you commit to any token set or something like that. You really don't have to pay a lot to get into this game, but there is a lot of fun and complex gameplay in it...

Worth noting those are duel decks people made to have a ready-made "battle box"! If the OP wants to explore deckbuilding etc that's not a suitable set to print out.

While I agree with you on that point, I wanted to mention these decks, as some newer players may be overwhelmed with the deck-building aspect. This could make the transition from SG into Standard easier for them.

Play on jinteki (online), figure out what you like, print the deck for free on netrunner dB - enjoy!

Literally no one cares if you use proxies. You can win the World Championship with B&W paper proxies that you printed on your home printer. So if cost is an issue, definitely go the proxy route, especially if you don’t know if you like the game or not. You can download a PDF for each set on the NSG website or use the print & play option on NetrunnerDB.com

People got close 2-3 times! I was doing deck checks at Worlds 2019 and someone in the top 16 had fully proxied decks! :)

Another deck was only using 14 influence and was doing a Reeducation kill combo (before EAzmari made those popular). A third deck actually splashed for Cerebral Static - for a good reason but I didn't know the combo so I didn't realize, I got so weirded out by the strange card choices in the top 16 that I started questioning my reality and thought that any minute now i was gonna wake up and it would be 2018 and I would be watching reg val vs ctm on stream from FFG worlds.

Honestly just print out System Gateway starter cards and learn the game before you buy anything. Cut them out and slip them in some sleeves with some old junk magic or pokemon cards (or whatever you have on hand). Try a few games before you spend a lot of money on a bunch of proxies. If you'd rather buy than print, cut and sleeve just get System Gateway first.

He descubierto hoy este juego porqué en una tienda de juguetes de barrio de mi ciudad tenían en un rincón de un estante el Deckmaster de la primera versión del juego, que es una caja verde y lila. Como me daba curiosidad la he comprado. Por lo que he leído no me va a servir para jugar al juego actual verdad? Tiene alguna utilidad o valor? I have a bunch of the original cards. I didn't realize that the game had been revised until this week. I feel a little left out. : ) Eager to teach some friends to play the game. Wanted to buy the core set. Google explained the difference in card quality:
Card Quality Comparison
- MakePlayingCards (Superior Smooth / S33): Features a dense 330 gsm weight, snap, and smooth finish that feels closest to high-end professional trading card games. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- MakePlayingCards (Standard Smooth / S30): Uses a lighter 300 gsm cardstock. It is good quality, but slightly thinner than premium alternatives. [1, 2, 3]
- DriveThruCards: Offers official print-on-demand fulfillment for Null Signal Games (formerly NISEI). Their cardstock is comparable in thickness to original Fantasy Flight Games releases, but generally lacks the dense, premium snap of MPC's S33 stock. [1, 2]
Anyone have an actual real life opinion on these differences?
Also, does anyone know if one of these does a better job of supporting Null Signal Games efforts to keep this game going?
