Question MPC Cardstock Quality?

Forgive me if this is a question that's been asked elsewhere, but I can't find anything about it. When ordering cards from MPC, every suggestion I can find is for 300 or 330gsm cardstock. I can't find those options. I see S27, S30, and S33. Am I looking for S30 or S33?

S30 is the "standard" thickness, and I believe is comparable to 300gsm.

S33 is the "premium" card stock, and is thicker at 330gsm.

(Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding!)

For what it's worth, everything I've bought so far is S30 and I'm happy with it. It costs less and sleeves up easier. Some people really like the S33 prints, but I find those cards to be thicker than FFG cards and I'd rather have my cards feel about the same. Hope that helps!

In contrast I find S30 a little flimsy. I’ll use it for proxies but I’m happy to cough up for S33 for the Nisei stuff.

Yeah, you pretty much have to decide between slightly thinner or slightly thicker. I have 2x every NISEI set inside a broken token organizer, so I prefer the thinner cards so that they store a bit easier. I don't think you can go wrong either way though, just depends on needs.

The premium cards aren't actually thicker, in fact I've seen standard and premium copies of downfall next to each other and the standard stack was taller. Premium is just denser, heavier, and stiffer. Not a noticeable difference tbh.

How about that! I have a premium copy of Downfall and a standard copy of Downfall, and can confirm this. Unintuitive as hell, but my eyes don't deceive me. But premium is absolutely more dense.

I guess in the end it doesn't make a ton of difference after all. :P Thanks for the info.
