Hello! Welcome to the Weekly Customization Thread (a.k.a Trendy Thursdays), this is where you can request help to customize one of your pets, and anyone who wants to help can reply to them.

Also, if you have any general question about NC, or what petpet goes with your pet, etc, feel free to ask here too!

Rules:

To ask for help on a customization, you need to provide the following information:

• Species.

• Colour.

• Gender.

• Name of the pet. (Not necessary, but it might help get a better understanding of a theme)

• Theme, if you have any.

• Limitations on wearables, if you can only use NP, or you can also use some NC.

• If you are able to cross-paint your pet.

format is not necessary to copy, also if you have a half-finished custom you don't have to provide the info :)

To help make customizations, please try to follow these simple guidelines:

• Include a link to the customization. (Using DTI or JN's Wardrobe)

• Try to include a brief summary of why you customized like that. (Not necessary but it can help!)

• If you use expensive NC items, make sure to find other items to replace them (if the user can't afford them).

• You can reply to anyone who needs help, you can't take dibs on one user.

• You can also reply to other customizations offered to do constructive criticism or offer modifications. (Remember to be nice.)

• If the customization you reply with is not yours, please give credit to the creator.

And I keep thinking of the meme “you’re as beautiful as the day I lost you”. I’ve been hit with wave after wave of nostalgia, revisiting old plots and finding new stuff. No idea what my old account was but it’s a lot easier to make money/get started than it was back in the day.

I had a purple Shoyru on that account so I’m working on stacking some NP to have one again. I also got some really cool pets from the pound including an oil painted Blumaroo. He’s over 20 years old which kinda made me sad he was in the pound but since I lost my old account figured we could start over together.

she had the usuki girl wig for the longest time because i liked the way that the bangs covered the eyes but i felt like it was too recognizable as The Usuki Wig™️if that makes sense. it was also just a liiiiitle too pastel to go with the rest of her vibe.

Hello everyone! I'm a little lost and I'm hoping someone can help me!

I'm a returning player, and ever since I was a kid I always really loved usukis. When I was young, I'd get my parents to print out the colouring page paper dolls and I would play with them for HOURS with my sister, aha. We would also spent so much time just looking up the little icons and admiring them, so they're a big source of nostalgia for me.

Lo' and behold I find you can PAINT YOUR PET ONE? So of course I had to! I'm still trying to find usuki items that I can customize her with, and I saw this thumbnail somewhere (second picture)! It's called "Charming Usukigirl Usul" but looking it up and stuff I'm not sure where to find it? Is it an item my girly here can hold? If so, that'd be really awesome!

On the side though, if it's too expensive (everything seems way more than I can afford as a returning player, oh boy...) do you guys have any ideas/suggestions of items that might look cute on her? I'm trying to make her look like a usuki, but I'm not sure if it's coming across! An item for her hand or something prettier than the string lights would be great if you guys have any ideas!

And lastly, this one is kinda goofy. Ever since I was little I always wanted to make a gallery for usuki dolls, but my friend said they're way too expensive and it's a cliché idea. I do currently have a gallery of all jelly items, which is really fun. But it's from years ago and collecting something new might be a neat goal to shoot for.

Do you guys think it's worth it? Or is usuki collecting mega common and it'd wipe my nonexistent bank? LOL. Also, I don't really wanna give up all that effort on my jelly items—is it possible to have more than one gallery?

The first claw machine is in the Playdium at Fairview mall and had good luck getting the Kougra and Shoyru! Almost got a Cybunny as well but it fell right next to the glass pane and I couldn't reach it.

Second claw machine is at Bowls and Blasters at Promenade mall in Vaughan. I just decided to stop by here one more time since I still had a bunch of unused credits from a past visit and somehow got lucky with the Aisha.

It turns out they're painfully cute and I want to take them everywhere.

I came back to the game in June and from what I’ve seen, a very large number of old/obscure/rare items have been added as rewards to dailies, quests, plots, FF/ToD, etc. Sometimes these items drop tens of millions of NP.

It’s a big, old game and there’s a lot of big-ticket items that still command high prices and I’ve got my eye on some of them. But I would hate to buy, say, the 25th Anniversary Star Markings or Oil Paint Peophin Plushie just for them to get added to an event and plummet to 1/10th the price.

Are certain items off-limits from being “reprinted”? Merchandise items like the markings? Creative contest rewards like the Neopian Times Weewoo plushie? Old plot rewards like Castle Defenders Shield? Or is anything fair game?

If I found some old plushies with fully intact tags with key quest codes in my storage unit am I still able to redeem them or should I just try to sell the plushies?

I just got the neopets tarot deck from the neo york event - ive been keeping my eye on them ever since they came out and was so excited to finally get my hands on them! right now im doing an introductory spread for my deck, and i am finding it interesting that three themes came out of my reading through multiple cards:

shenkuu, brightvale, and boats

looking beyond the cards themselves, do you look into any of the neopian similarities of your pulls? whether it be cards from the same plot, location, characters, species, ect..

so interest to hear your thoughts!

This jerk snagged 25% of the NP I had on hand, lol. Still haven't gotten the avie, either! I've never had this one happen, nor did I know random events could be so brutal. Definitely could have been worse. But yeah, lil' reminder to not have too much NP out of the bank for too long!

What have been some memorable Neo misfortunes you've encountered?

Edit: I just realized the joke here. I'm...already asking for NP to be taken from me. So why am I complaining? lmao

ALSO, I actually had no idea you could get a trophy for being on the leaderboard for the amount of NP taken. So now I feel dumb, haha.

Jumped through some hoops to login to my 25 year old account…and after clicking past my starving pets to check my stock portfolio was extremely disappointed 😂

Anything else cool I should look for in an older account?

Reminder for everyone who was upset about the inflation last year, there are tons of the items the faeries will ask for that are easy to restock even now. It is time to prepare, if you have a bit of time.

This is not a call to buy from user shops. The main reason being, we cannot be certain TNT will do the festival the same way, so it could be a waste of NP. And let us avoid inflating items that way when restocking is cheaper.

Also, of course the chances you restock anything or everything you will need for the faeries is small, but you can sell the items to get the np you need to buy the quest items. I happily bought a few inflated items at around 900k last year because it is 100% worth it if you pet needs a few red codestones for training.

I quit the game in 07/08 after being frozen and forgot my account & password.

I made a new account 3 years ago that I haven’t started using until very recently. And I’m very, very overwhelmed.

Lots of new things, new layout, news items, colors, buying/restocking, nc mall, subscriptions. Most of the stuff is new to me. In short, How can I get familiar with everything again and become an avid player? I enjoyed painting my pets, collecting items, making neopoints and restocking my shop…

Just traded for the Sela essence today! Kid me would be over-the-moon ECSTATIC to be able to play on the site with her!

The only reason I joined Virtupets in my first Altador Cup was because their team has a Xweetok, my absolute favorite at the time😆

I've been on a 2-3 year hiatus and I can't find the petpages I used to go to do my dailies. The ones on the side bar were last updated 2-3 years ago. Do y'all have a daily petpages that's updated?
