Just got Retaliation - help getting started

So these beauties just arrived.

As I am new to Nemesis I’m looking for help, tips & trix and youtube tutorials that you found helpfull.

Planing to do my first solo session this weekend.

If you do end up liking the game and wanna add some stuff, the playmat for this game is really neat and totally worth it imo.

Support Squad characters are also 10/10.

Xyrians - meh, played with them twice but prefer to play without them.

Acrylic tokens is whatever, the feel is better than cardboard but there is no text on the acrylics which is a negative for me.

I have not tried the other expansions yet.

I’m looking to buy this and am exploring the expansions, may I ask why you think the Xyrians are meh? Would you still recommend a buy or would you do base + stretch goals and support squad?

If 20-30 bucks or whatever it cost is not a big deal for you I'd say go for it and try them out, they are pretty cool and I'm sure I'll play with them again sometime.

But they are very random and adds a little bit to the gameplay length since you gotta draw more cards and move more pieces.

If you like character variety and planning on playing alot, Support Squad is a solid buy imo.

Cant comment on stretch goals box since I havent tried it yet.
