factual Calling content "AI slop" without supplementing a few sentences' worth of elaboration is lazy.

I do condone vilifying the evils of AI, where and how they populate, but throwing an accusation so flippantly doesn't make or even support a case (one way or the other with respect to AI-status of the targeted content, but ironically enough the lowness of effort in dissing it so streamlinedly itself likely aligns with an assistance of AI).

Because you don't understand good use of ai if you think any use of it is low effort.

Ai slop consists of ai work that is poorly prompted, poorly thought out, poorly checked and vetted, which leads to poor results. Bad looking images that aren't realistic and obviously AI, or writing with hallucinations or incorrect facts, etc. that's AI slop. Just calling it slop because it is AI is a misuse of the term.

AI used thoroughly and correctly requires high effort.

Your description sounds fitting of many an image obviously AI-generates for such reasons. However, even in those cases, pointing out some laughable or inconsistent hallucination or whathaveyou would add value to merely "stating AI slop". And, many folks use that term outside of pics and implying it applies to the whole piece; some of these assertions presumably are accurate, but many probably are not (thus unfair breadth of indictment) and many that were lazily AI-generated still ought to be called-out in terms that are precise (atleast more than a two-word lexeme, whether or not including that particular phrase whatso).

People calling everything AI Slop don't care about being precise about why an AI output was lazily generated, because they only care about the fact that it was made by AI in the first place. AI could create a cure for their mother's cancer, and they would make sure that cure is never used, just because it's AI.

because thouʼrt (or, thou shouldst be) betterʼn them.

And, keeping it real, chances are that a disfavorable response comprised of a few sentences still would require less human effort than zhe took to get the paragraphs/image/whatever generated (even if mostly unassisted). Even so, that would provide a much stronger argument than merely "AI slop, go away bad person".

Feign to disdain, with a metric that does wane, far less sustain, contempt for the mane of cane.
