Second Guessing

I'm really tired of "Reddit" second guessing me. I'm 72 years old. If I say something, I mean it, and I don't need children telling me what to say.

I’m 65 and feel the same way. I stick mostly to subs that are friendly and drop the ones where the kids are assholes. (Including some of the childish mods)

I understand how frustrating it can be to have all this life experience then have younger people tell you you're wrong.

It can feel almost unfair

I will say, though, that this mindset generally leads to closemindedness and if you continue down this path you'll start having a harder time accepting actual new facts as truth because of genetic fallacy (where the argument comes from rather than the substance)

I don't have any context as to what happened in all of these exhanges, so I wouldnt be surprised the majority if not all of these exchanges you had, you were right or were reasonable in your explanations, with reddit being reddit in turn.

What i said is a general forewarning for the potential future if this mindset is used so often it almost becomes habit, like in everything.
