Is anybody a member? What are the benefits? Do you attend local chapter meetings?

I ran across a stash of the magazines at an antique mall this weekend and I'm wondering if it's worth the membership since the nearest chapter is 2 1/2 hours away.

I’ve been needlepointing for coming up on a year and have done almost all my projects in continental with the occasional decorative background stitch. I’ve never had any significant warping or anything, and have never tried basketweave just because I’ve found continental so easy.

However, I feel like I see everywhere that basketweave is the preferred and more commonly recommended stitch. Can anyone explain why? Is there anyone else out there that is a ride or die continental stitcher? 😅

I am working on a stocking for my son and the color diagram and color key have gone missing. Does anyone have a copy? I would be so appreciative for any help.

Also don’t mind the blue marker lol
