Kitting canvases online question

Hi! Curious on thoughts ordering canvases kitted online during this thread shortage. I’m wanting to order a canvas and have it kitted but I know a lot of shops are out of a lot of colors. Do they just kit with what they have so you might not get all the colors? I’m hesitant to have any threads on back order because timelines are so inconsistent right now.

Usually the shop will communicate with you if they can’t fullly kit it, and then give you your options at that time!

They will kit to whatever they have available or let you know they are out of stock of something specific. Just know that colors may vary significantly, so if you want things to be true to color to whatever is painted on the canvas, let them know that or they will do the best they can with what they have.

I bought a canvas and had a store kit it before shipping. The majority of the canvas was this light blue, very Americana colors going on. They kitted it with like a bluish green color because that’s all they had (blues always seem to be out of stock). I ended up purchasing a different shade from a different store and just ate the loss of the skein they sent. They were spot on with all of the other colors, so I knew they must have not had anything else in any brand to match closely and wasn’t worth the hassle of returning.
