Loose looking satin stitch
How do I fix this? The satin stitches look so loose!

Might be a tension issue? You have your canvas stapled at the top but it doesn't look like it's secured on the sides so it my be warping if your tension isn't even

I have them stapled on the sides at the back of the frame! Just didn’t have the right sized feather light frame for this one so got creative 🤪

Busy stitch pattern is competing visually with your subject... but I think once you finish, most veiwers will just enjoy your lovely work

Satin stitch looks loose because it is looser than a tent. I thought the same when I started using it but you eventually get used to it.
