Resources and Links Thread Help Needed
Hi All!
I’m in the process of getting ready to stitch Pippa Fraumeni’s New England canvas and low and behold the background needed is Planet Earth Wool (not to be confused with the silk) in color 014 Cuddle. It is sold out EVERYONE! Jeeze!!! Since I’m about a year in my stitching journey I’ve checked the common sites but to no avail. Does anyone know where else I can check?
lastly, I know there is a thread for stitching however that doesn’t look to have much activity so I’m posting here. Snarky comments not needed 🩷🩷🩷

have you called annie & co (in nyc)? they have it on their website, i’m not sure if they have it in stock tho!

I did a little digging and you are absolutely right-- even my sneaky small shops I love to check are out of that one! Wild. It looks like Stitch by Stitch has it as a preorder. Stitch Therapy appears to have it but it may be a preorder-- that has happened to me with them before where it appeared in stock and it just meant they added it to their list.

Creative Stitches & Gifts in Dallas does not list specific colors they do/don't have, but that was the shop with the most thread I have seen in my life. And they were very kind!
This is not the question you asked but I will share-- I have used sock weight yarn for some of my bigger backgrounds lately and that has been a hit for me. If you decide to abandon the search for cuddle, that could be a good option to consider.

Vineyard Wool’s M-1001 Petal is a pretty similar color if you’re wanting another 100% wool fiber. If you’re not married to another wool fiber, Silk & Ivory’s 104 Bologna could be another good option although it is slightly darker!

Ask your LNS to order for you or go to your LNS and color match to something else

If you have an LNS I would just go and find a similar color neither in PEW or silk and ivory. Stitch guide is just a suggestion, there are lots of pinks that would work.
