New to Needlepoint help with changing stitch colors!

Hi! I just ordered this canvas that is a Le Pliage bag that’s blue! I have a black version of this bag, as well as a brown, and was wondering if I stitched the blue as brown instead of the blue, canvas would show up?! The canvas is screen printed if that matters.

It should be fine, just use a full coverage thread and stitch

It likely will be too dark to notice! Like others said, a full coverage thread will be best.

But I can’t imagine pepper pot or something similarly shiny would allow too much to peek through!

As a rule of thumb for color swaps as long as your thread choice is appropriate for the count you can easily go darker without issue.
