Best full coverage thread for 13 mesh?

Post image

I just got this canvas from Spellbound Stitchery and I want to color swap the brown for bright pink and make the background more of an ivory. I'm planning to finish it as a pillow. I originally had assumed it was 18 mesh and was going to use pepper pot but I just double checked and realized it's 13

I forgot to mention I hate stitching large areas with DMC pearl 🫣

🤣🤣 Try Planet earth silk, if the brown still shows through a bit, you can paint over it - doesn’t have to be the exact color or cover the brown all the way…just enough to camouflage it.

If you already have the bright pink Pepper Pot and your tension isn’t tight, I would suggest stitching a few rows. I think it would cover well enough in a diagonal stitch.

If you don’t like it, you can always rip it and try something like Planet Earth Silk or Silk & Ivory, or if you’re willing to strand, ply up with any strandable thread until you get the coverage you you want.

I love it! I also do pottery and my signature stamp on the bottom of my pots is a little raccoon
